...It's pure hing powder, and a lot of it for the price. You'll either love it or you'll hate it. Adding this along with garam masala makes commercial American supermarket Indian food like the company Saffron Road's dishes almost taste like the real thing.

I needed to replace onions, garlic, shallots, for dietary reasons, but avoid certain additives and fillers. This product met the need. It's a daily part of my diet now, on baked chicken, in sauces, even in tuna and salads. It adds 'something' the original vegetables didn't have. It doesn't have the "bite" of onion and garlic, or the sometimes "green" flavor, but what it adds really makes up for it. A great product and no digestive issues at all for me!

Amazing for low FODMAP diets

This proves buying spice online on Amazon is sketchy. Bought two bags of this "flavored flour" in error! Returns not allowed, so I'm stuck with them. Ingredient list is misleading. This product contains more wheat flour than hing, hence the faint smell. Needed about at least 1/2 tsp. to add to my dal spices to taste the hing. Ewww! Past this one by. Better still, find a brick & mortar East Asian grocery to buy it there.

I like this herb, I used to take it years ago and it save my life actually, I had temporal lobe epilepsy, I had a major reaction to Dilantin which actually damaged my vocal cords. I’m a retired herbalist now but I found this herb and it worked at that time it cost me seven dollars a year but as long as I took it I had no seizures. I only know one other person who got results like that though so it couldn’t hurt to try it if you do have temporal lobe Epilepsy. I just took a capsule twice a day but it Has to be pure this brand seems to be OK. I’m trying it now for my blood pressure don’t know if it’ll work but I’m drug resistant to medicines they just don’t work on me. I purchased it for this time to try it for my BP as Research says it could possibly help with this. I can’t say one way or the other. And if it’ll work for other people for either I also can’t say but it surely can’t hurt. Anyway this seems to be a good quality. Starwest Botonicals also sells their brand which is what I used 14 years ago. I was fortunate enough being an herbalist to find an alternative health treatment back then that cured me.

I have nothing to compare it to, but it seems fine

This is a powerful spice similar to garlic but with added notes of onion and complexity. Start slowly and enjoy its energizing effects.

Flavor is fine. To much of a fine powder so does not shake out of a shaker well. Will order the granulated product next time.

Smelled ok when I opened it. When I cooked no fragrance at all. Also has wheat flour and acacia gum. Not Worth the price.

C'est parce que, voyez-vous, je ne l'ai toujours pas utilisé. Vous transmettez vos sondages beaucoup trop tôt. Voilà! Le produit "Asa-foetida" n'est pas un aliment que l'on utilise subito presto. Euh! non!

Stinks to high heaven lol. Probabaly will use as bug deterrent instead of spicing food dishes. Will let you know how that works!!
