Lenox 890729 Sprig & Vine 4-Piece Accent Plate Set

I got the Sprig & Vine 4 pack of Navy blue 8" plates, along with the 4 Person Dinner Service pack in white, along with 2 packs of the 6" navy & teal dessert plates. The are ALL beautiful. Good quality porcelain! Other reviewer says it's cheap quality for a Lenox brand with the overlay print and color. I completely disagree. I have Lenox Butterfly Meadows and used the set for over a decade with minimal wear or tear. I don't believe in saving beauty for special occasions, so this Sprig & Vine set is my new everyday, every food, every way dinnerware. I did ask my sister to used caution when cutting her steaks on the Navy Blue dishes with her knife and fork, just to see if it might get scratched. It doesn't. We just eat without giving thought now. It's great in the microwave, heated up bacon on it and other items that would crack cheap ceramic, it doesn't crack and print stays perfect. It is my new, beautiful, quality, every day set and I am very happy I bought it!

- Dishwasher & microwave safe - Oddly for this brand, I can find no mention of country of manufacture - In the listing pix they can look like the background is black but it's just a deep blue Weighty but not too much. They're about 9" which is as large as some dinner plates but I'd never suggest letting a fork or knife be used with these. I just wouldn't take the chance. I'm not entirely sure how I'll use them yet, to be honest. The design is lovely but they are not the level of execution I expect from this brand. These are some sort of stamp, even the blue background is part of it. The plate is white. The reason this is a problem is because they aren't centered well. All 4 plates have some degree of white rim showing at one end. I think a stamp was also a poor choice on porcelain because the surface has natural tiny pockmarks. That lends an odd distortion to the picture. I bought these as a gift for my daughter and she is thrilled with the appearance of these plates. She paired them with a navy blue set of dishes with gold trim to use as an accent. The pattern is beautiful and flawless with great detail in the birds and flowers. The price was a little high for my taste but I am more of a off brand kind of gal!

These plates are very attractive. I thought it was unique. It looked very pretty in the house. It would make a very nice gift. The quality was very good. It seemed to be very well made. It looked just like the picture. It really is beautiful. I like that you can put them in the dishwasher and microwave. We have many products from Lenox, and like them a lot. The quality is always good. They came very well packaged and in perfect condition. I would recommend it.

I'm being generous with this rating, but I toggled a lot between 3 and 4 stars. I think the plates are gorgeous in design, color choice, and motif (that's why I ordered them), but they are so underwhelming in execution. The plates themselves are not actually painted or even stamped - this is like a waterslide/transfer sticker design. And while that's normally fine maybe for an intricate patterned border, in this case I mean the whole entire thing - the background color, too. So the plates are not actually navy blue at all, just white with a stamped-on navy background. I'm not a fan of that at all. The stamp is also a bit more pixelated than I would like it to be, and some of my plates have a slightly off-center application to the transfer which leaves just a slight rim of white exposed, so these just look...cheap. To turn them over and see Lenox is surprising. I think these are really beautiful designs and I love the idea of funky sized accent plates to add a piece into your brunch table setting or family get together, but I just wish the printing and quality were a little nicer. There's no reason the plates couldn't have been navy with the design stamped on; it would have looked far more high quality. Still recommended, since the plates are lovely, but know in advance this is basically a waterslide transfer on a white plate, so there are white edges and pixelations to the finished product.

These dishes are absolutely gorgeous, I can't stop admiring them! The colors look so beautiful in real life, the pictures don't show it well. The background is a dark navy blue which really makes the other colors pop. It looks almost black in the pictures, but it's more navy blue in person. The dishes are the perfect size for having guests over for appetizers, they're smaller than a dinner plate but larger than a salad plate. Or if you're fancy, you can stack one in between a dinner plate and a salad plate for each place setting. They say that they are microwave and dishwasher safe, but I like them too much to risk anything happening to them, I'll hand wash them. I'm planning to display them somehow, they're just too pretty to hide away in my cabinets with my other ugly dishes (which I didn't realize were ugly until I got these).

I bought these to accent the lighter blue turquoise version of these Sprig & Vine plates because I’m in love with those! I don’t feel the same passion for this dark blue sadly 😢 but they do accent each other well so I’m really not disappointed . Not too delicate, i even let my kids eat of of them occasionally
