ASICS Mens Gel-Cumulus 15

Great product, good price.

Fit is good. Ventilation is fantastic! Very good neutral runner, but unfortunately comes with a fatal flaw that blows the deal: durability.What has happened to Asics? I ran in my last pair of Nimbus 9 for a minimum of 2 years, and they are still in good shape considering their age. This pair of Cumulus were delivered June 5. Here it is 2 1/2 months later and a piece of the outsole has come off one shoe! And I don't even put many miles on them. 2-3 miles a day is all these shoes have seen in this short time span. And the separation of the outsole is not the only problem. The entire outsole is wearing frighteningly fast. Even if Asics replaces these due to defect, there is no way they will last as long as my previous Nimbus. I understand Cumulus is a step down, but I can't believe that's the only reason for durability loss.I have no idea where to go from here, as Asics was my "go to" brand that I could always count on for quality and durability. If anyone has suggestions I would love to hear them.I will update this review after I have spoken to Asics about this issue.UPDATE: Asics replaced the defective shoes with a new pair of Cumulus 16 without debate, so they effectively upgraded me! Kudos to Asics for quality customer service. I am revising my initial review of 1 star, but I'm torn with how to rate the shoes. As far as fit and performance goes they are a solid 5 star product. But for me durability is a significant factor, and they fall short in this important category. Just be aware that the outsole lugs are very thin so you may not get as many miles out of them as you might expect, and you won't be disappointed in the purchase.

I've done about 10 marathons, probably twice as many half marathons, and a few triathlons. Being a runner of size, I have tried about every major manufacturer there is and I can now say after about 8 years of distance running I am an Asics guy. Largely a matter of preference, but I am to the point that I really won't bother with much else.I have own probably 10-15 pairs of this exact shoe and have been happy with them. If you are a larger runner (which I would say is north of 175lbs), this is a good choice for you. Also, if you have wider feet, the Asics 4E is the widest and I find them very comfortable.Running sites will also mention the Asics Nimbus which is similar, but costs a little. They tout it for bigger runners, and the reviews I have read noted they cost a little more but seem to last longer than this model. The Nimbus feels a little stiffer to me, but I can wear them both interchangeably noticing much difference.As a few others have noted, I have had a pair or two with quality issues where a piece of the shoe started to come unglued much quicker than I felt it should have. It wasn't a huge deal, but it's one of the reasons I look to Amazon to buy last years models. I refuse to pay $140 for a shoe. When I got serious about running maybe 6 -7 years ago, a solid running shoe was about 100 bucks and they keep pushing the envelope and trying to charge more. I have not noticed a difference paying the extra 40-50% and this shoe consistently delivers. At 70-80 bucks, I will wear this shoe until they pick my body up off the side of the road and stuff me into a pine box.

These shoes are great. I have had them for 3-4 months now.I just usually wear them outdoors to work and play. Best comfort you will get while playing outdoors.Also the outer sole has gel cushion so that really helps to give a nice support and reduces the impact on foot while playing.I found them really comfortable while wearing them at work.Friendly reminder : Just be sure of the size as asics makes shoes very specific to size. I took a safer chance by trying some asics shoes in the shop to test my size and then ordered here.Finally,Pros :1. Light weight2. The mesh is really airy so its always comfortable inside. No sweat or heat problems as such.3. Gel cushion is perfect4. Sturdy sole and comfortable arch.5. Amazing padding near the ankle and above which makes it really comfortable to have on.Cons : (Reasons for missing out on that one star)1. As i said be sure of the size they are an exact fit.2. The shoes being exact fit they kind of give you a tight feel and rough time for initial period but carry them for a month and you would get the comfort right on!3.Its mesh after all so cleaning has to be gentle.Bottom line : If you are looking for a pair of shoes right for money and want to wear them as your daily driver and plus while at sports these are the ones!Great work Asics! :)

This is my fourth pair of ASICS. I have tried several of their medium-priced running shoes. I use them for walking only and will walk up to 4 miles at a stretch.I have a fair amount of pronation and high arches. I've also had some Plantar Fasciitis in the past. Once I switched to running shoes that provided support and limited my pronation the problem went away. But I never went back to cross training shoes as they exacerbate the problem.I've only worn this pair about five times, but I don't think they are as good at dealing with the pronation as the ASICS Gel GT-100. I haven't worn the shoe with my orthotic insoles yet. This should help some on the pronation issue. But they are comfortable, light-weight and fit my 4E width very well. The Amazon price was very good. If you do find a pair you like you have to check on the price quite often as it will fluctuate from day to day. For the money, fit and great gel sole, I don't think you can find a better shoe for walking than ASICS.

This running shoes are great, very comfortable with lots of cushioning. I just ran the Venice Marathon 2 weeks ago and my shoes were not a problem. I love them

Der Schuh passt wirklich wie angegossen, der breite Vorfußbereich (4E) ist wirklich sehr angenehm, wenn man das braucht. Die Dämpfung ist ebenfalls sehr gut.
