Subject: Absolutely Great Quality & Professional Company.I have been using Saffron for years and trying many brands here in Amazon but I feel so fortunate to find this brand. Great quality, great taste, great smell. Truely it is natural and my food couldn't have been better without this. As there are many health benefits to Saffron, drinking Saffron tea is a great option. I do recommend buying this brand as it is purely a blessing

It is not the best saffron grown on the planet ,but it is good and the price was very reasonable for the amount.

Wonderful flavorWish it could be purchased in a larger quantity.The cork top is hard to remove and broke

It is wonderful to have this quality spice in my cabinet, pull it out and deposit those threads in pastas, risottos, seafood dishes, and more.Such a gently but unique addition to take my dishes one step higher!

These saffron threads are nice and aromatic. I use them mostly for tea and rice, and they work great in both uses. The two-gram package is enough to last some time. A little bit goes a long way!

I like experimenting with different herbs, spices, condiments, natural and organic food products, so I was curious by the flavor profiles I could get by using this brand’s saffron threads compared to the others I’ve tried. That said, when I saw this offering and the way in which it was packaged, produced, and delivered, I just knew it was worth a try.First of all, this saffron is packaged very well in a strong and durable plastic bottle that’s sealed to keep in the freshness. The clear see-through bottle gives you the opportunity to see the contents up-close and the Tealuv branding is clearly visible, with the description, labeling and nutritional contents very well-defined. Upon opening the bottle and removing the seal, there was a waft of vibrant, sweet and satisfying aroma that was an instant sign of good quality and freshness.The product description does a good job detailing all of the uses and benefit of saffron - so I won’t repeat all of that. I’ve typically cooked with saffron and mixed it in my hot drinks like milk and tea. As a food spice in cooking, I’ve used this in a number of different ways which has always delivered a nice warm, sweet and aromatic flavor profile! Typically, you should only use a little as too much can be overwhelming; that said, this wasn’t as strong as I’m used to and this brand’s saffron was very mild and more subtle in flavor.Overall, this is a good quality saffron product that’s reasonably priced. This is good saffron. There is a lot of fake saffron on the market but I think this is real for the following reasons:-When I opened the glass bottle, it really smelled like saffron – it had that unique hay/honey scent.-When I rubbed it between my fingers, it stained my fingers.-I soaked it in tepid water. It took some time for the color to turn that distinct golden color. Fake saffron usually dyes the water very fast because it is a fiber with a dye.-The threads stayed the same bright red color after soaking for 30 minutes & after cooking. Fake saffron that has been dyed red will lose its color.-The threads did NOT disintegrate in cooking. Fake saffron usually breaks down depending on what material they are using.-The soaked threads had a wider end & a skinny end (trumpet shape) – fake saffron does not.-The soaked threads stained my fingers & kept a thread-like shape when gently rolled between my fingers. Eventually they break apart. Fake saffron usually disintegrates easily.-I tasted it & it tasted like saffron.-I tasted the soaking water & it had a strong saffron flavor-My shrimp dish had a wonderful saffron flavor.-It is sealed & packaged in a glass bottle & that glass bottle is sealed in a sturdy zipper bag.*There is no indication on where the saffron originated. This bothers me & it is the reason I am giving this 4 stars. Consumers have a right & need to know where their food originates.I am not an expert on saffron and I do not know if this is truly the grade that is claimed. Saffron is graded by ISO, a federation of national standards bodies.I do know that I enjoyed this saffron very much & it tasted & reacted like genuine saffron. If it’s not genuine, then this is a really good fake.

This saffron does not have the same level of flavor as other brands I've used. I used it in a rice dish using the same amount as I normally do, and the saffron flavor was very low and muted. I find I need to use more of this to get the same level of flavor I'm used to from saffron. The same with the aroma in the bottle -- it's clearly saffron, but it doesn't have the same saturation (in terms of aroma) as others.On the plus side, the packaging was excellent and everything arrived very well sealed and in perfect shape. The price is also pretty good for the size of container.Judging this saffron strictly on taste and performance would result in a 3 star rating. However, given the price, I'll raise the score to 4 stars since it's a decent value for saffron. Plus, there are no bad aspects to the taste or aroma -- it's just light, and it can be addressed by using a bit more that you would need to use with a more "premium" brand.
