Kind of chewy but good
The product comes in a nice resealable bag. Pear slices are about 1/4" thick and moist enough to be chewy and not hard. They keep well in refrigerator. My wife and I like them.

The worst dried fruit
DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!! I grew up drying tree-ripened fruit. I have purchased dried fruit from a host of sellers over my life. I have my favorites. Nut Cravings is the bottom of the barrel. It looks bad, it smells bad, and it tastes bad. I bought a 2 lb bag of pears. They shipped peaches instead. Amazon did a great job of immediately sending me the pears. I tried both and thought maybe it's just me. Two other family members sampled both bags, and the jury was unanimous. These are wretched. 4 lbs of fruit that looks like it came from the compost. And guess what? We ended up throwing it (literally) in the compost. It is hard to believe that a company could ruin fruit to this degree. Nut Cravings, the company should be ashamed for peddling this kind of garbage. (the bag of bright orange apricots sitting next to Nut Cravings dried peaches is to show the contrast. Traina is the seller of the apricots, and their dried fruit is exceptional in taste and appearance.)

Almost Good but still Disappointing
Many decades ago, I bought some dried pears at a little roadside apple stand in Arkansas. They were amazing. I’ve been trying to find similar pears off and on ever since, always to my utter disappointment. So I got brave enough to try again with these dried pears from Nut Cravings. Admittedly, I am a tough critic and have extremely high Dried Pear Standards, and most likely, much higher than most other consumers. These pears are not as grainy as some I’ve tried, but they are not as smooth as the pears of my dreams and my memory. But the primary negative factor to me is that these pears are too moist and very sticky. My knee jerk reaction that these pears earn 2 stars from me. Factoring in my seemingly impossible standards and expectations, I’m bumping up the score to 3 stars because they are better than most dried pears available out there and, except for the stickiness, most people would find them totally acceptable. My toy poodle loves them, so that justifies an extra star.
