All about sustainability
I almost thought reusable tissues were gross but I remember how our parents used handkerchiefs. This was just a refill as I already have the container. I have to say, this is a brilliant idea and these are great. They’re not very soft, but that’s ok. They wash well and I love not having to buy pricey tissues. Even if you don’t have their container (although I do recommend it, because it’s pretty genius the way it keeps the dirty ones separate), these are great alternatives.

A good substitute for disposable tissues.
I first purchased these almost three years ago. They are smaller than a standard disposable tissue and smaller than other handkerchiefs I purchased on my quest to find a replacement for disposable tissues. My criteria for a substitute for tissues is that they be small enough to fit in my pocket without creating a bulge but not too much smaller than a tissue. These are a little smaller than a standard tissue. They are heavier than others I have tried, but they are well made and adequately absorbent. They were the most expensive handkerchiefs I purchased, but they are my favorite. I wash them then fold them when they are still wet. They are more absorbent if you don’t use fabric softener. I did order a case which will come with more handkerchiefs for my purse. In the kitchen and at my desk, I just keep these folded in a drawer. I have allergies. The disposable tissues I have purchased most of my life (name brand) seem to have more dust on them when they come out of the box than they used to. The cloth “tissues” are much better for my allergies.

Very well made
These are very well made. They’re a little on the small size to make them portable. Smaller than your average Kleenex. Not super soft but they’re durable. Too soft and they’d probably fall apart after many washings. If you look closely, the edges have been nicely sewn. I’m happy with the quality.

Great small size - but a little thick, making them not so "soft"
I have rhinitis (just means my nose drips all the time - not mucus, just drips), so I moved away from disposables years ago. I have a hankie in a pocket of most of my clothes that have pockets. I have some beautiful designer hankies, but I also like plain, white, small ones that don't take up much space. I also prefer things that are organic, so I was excited to find these. These are a great size and pretty functional. However, the fabric is just a little thick for folding and using. I waited to write this until I washed them a couple times to see if they would soften up, but they haven't so far. I do use them, but I prefer the thinner fabric of Vermont Country Store's Women's Embroidered Cotton Handkerchiefs, Set Of 12 in white, 11" square. I wish I had a combo of these two: the smaller, unembroidered organic cotton "tissues," in a slightly thinner fabric. I'm being generous with a 4* - I wouldn't buy them again unless they make a thinner fabric.

Pleased with this product.
I was looking for a way to reduce cotton swab and tissue use and so came upon the company, LastThings. This product is a silicone handkerchief dispenser which has a convenient slit at the bottom for pulling out a new one as you refold and put your used one in the top separated by a barrier from the clean ones. I Have used the first cloth several times as it has not been dirty enough to go onto the next one. I found the handkerchiefs to be suitably soft and absorbent but will probably be softer with washing. I bought a refill pack. I also purchased the Lastswab, to replace cotton swabs and I am enjoying that product very very much. The packaging is minimal and looks to be compostable or at least recyclable cardboard. The size of the silicone container is smaller than the conventional purse size tissue pack and just slightly thicker. So far I’m very happy with the product.

misleading
Product feels, looks, and behaves like a cheap, costume-grade polyester-type fabric instead of a soft cotton cloth so I'm dubious on the claims that this is cotton. They did not soften with three washes using sensitive-skin soap formula only, I had to use a fabric softener which defeated the purpose of having clean "organic" tissues and irritated the nose. These squares are also MUCH smaller than what the model is shown using; one tissue takes up the palm of my hand when it's loosely bunched, you'd need to be holding three or four of them very carefully arranged to get the look the model is showing.

Love these!
I am so glad that I started using these. They are just the right size to replace tissues. I wear them in a sleeve or a pocket easily. I am working to get them to become softer. Not that they are stiff, because they're not, but they will be even better when they get softer.

Handy little hanky
These are a great smaller single use ( then wash) hanky. Rather than the larger ones which are intended to be used for multiple purposes and uses (times) blowing one’s nose, and then putting it back in your pocket and periodically using it again… *shudder*These are nicely made and as advertised are softening up with each wash. I’ve purchased two sets! I do have many handkerchiefs as an allergy sufferer, however I am partial to something thicker than these. The only downside of these is that they are thin! Even folded over it is difficult to call these absorbent.
