Great resource for shelf exams, could be better.
Overall impression: Great product. Great questions with thorough answers. Hits NBME style shelf questions and all High Yield TopicsStars: 4/5* 1 star less because of oddly worded questions that needed more steps of reasoning than would be expected on shelf exams.CONTEXT:The Pre-Test series is a great resource to hit high yield facts and concepts that will be tested on during medical school class exams and, especially, on the NBME style Shelf Exams. After using this book, answering all the questions, and annotating First Aid with any exceptional tid-bits, I scored high on my pharm class and on my pharm Shelf Exam. Also a great book to keep in my office during MS3 year to run through specific chapters (Speaking specifically towards OBGYN and related drugs and psych and the psychotropic therapies).SHIPPING: Fast and reliable. Provided shipping details (*Amazon Prime Member)PACKAGING: Received in brown amazon box or packaging envelop. Product packaging was professional and retail-qualityERRORS: None notedCUSTOMER SERVICE: I did not need to contact costumer service at all for this product* I did NOT receive this product at a discounted rate for this review

Great book for testing your Pharmacology knowledge
Great book for testing your Pharmacology knowledge. It even includes a few things missed in my classes. The explanations at the end of the chapters are great. I highly recommend this book for Pharmacology if you're in medical school.

Great Resource
The book is full of helpful questions to supplement understanding of lectures. I recommend if you need the extra questions to prep for exams.

Great book for reviewing pharmacology
Great book for reviewing pharmacology. It's a little out of date (which is why I didn't give it 5 stars). The explanations are great for explaining which is the correct answers and giving reasons for why the other ones are wrong.

to make me a better clinician, to help me keep fresh in mind ...
Background: got this book AFTER step 1, to make me a better clinician, to help me keep fresh in mind all the myriad side effects that patients presenting with multiple comorbidities might be at risk for from the first line meds they'll probably be on.If you have the time and need a very thorough review of pharm. PRINCIPLES, especially ANS pharm (Nicotinic, Muscarinic receptors, Atropine-like side effect drugs), this is a good book. As another reviewer said, some of these questions may be considered more on the easier side, but others will teach you things you probably would have never though about had you not done these questions.I did not use this book INTENTIONALLY for Board prep, and again, if you are not pressed for time badly, doing questions out of here will only do you good (more questions = more knowledge = more ability).

Not a summary book
If you are looking for a question bank, this book is for you. Definitely not a pharmacology-in-a-glance type of book. It was useful, but not what I expected.
