Valentina Harpers color books are awesome. They leave your mind free for creativity.. The pictures are on one side of the page.the other side is great for short notes and information about your project. I am new to this hobby , but truly enjoy it.Amazon has proved to be a great place for me to purchase all my supplies.,and learn skills I never knew existed . nice small size to tuck in your bag for portable coloring. The only complaint that I have is that the binding is pretty tight(at least with my copy) and I would prefer a book that can open flatter​ in order to color more easily. very pretty images though and would recommend to anyone who wants to be able to color while waiting.

I really like this little booklet. Binding is tight but pages can be torn off. It is one sided but the flip side has a quote and room to write down thoughts. I like the all the drawings in this booklet. Without color they look good enough already. Paper is not top quality therefore if you use markers, use a mat.

I ordered this for a trip that involved several hours on an airplane, a layover, and several more hours on an airplane, followed by a hotel stay then a cruise then the same air schedule for the trip home. This kept my daughter busy and happy for HOURS! At 15-years-old she's not exactly a child, but she still had to be kept out of my hair. Pairing this with her Relax Playlist from her iPod and I had 1 happy teenage girl.

•"Extra-thick paper". No. A little thicker than cheap copier paper, but a far cry from Viva Le Vive extra thick (which is like cardstock) or Leisure Arts (which is like watercolor paper).•Good size. I prefer a small book because I lose interest very quickly so its compact size means I can finish a page before I'm bored.•Perforated pages. Due to the thinness of the paper, you need to be gentle tearing these out. Fold one way then the other before attempting.•Standard inexpensive binding. It doesn't lay flat like more premium books do so I really needed to work it and mold it before I was able to color a page without the ones before it falling on to the sheet.•Description says its ideal for pens, pencils, watercolors, and markers. The first two are accurate, the latter not so much though. Markers are ok on this (a little bleed through and paper rippling), but this paper is not think thick enough for watercolor. Fortunately, my preferred instrument at-the-moment is a gel pen, and those work great on this paper.•Image quality is good with deep black outlines. Lots of small, intricate details that are best colored with a pen or fine liner marker. Markers like Tombow or paintbrushes are too wide to fill in the details, but can be used for all the larger stuff.

I especially like the small size of these books. I often need to sit with my feet up and the small size make it easiest to have it in my lap and still keep my markers handy. The designs are of just the right size (not too tiny--my eyes are failing me). Thank you!
