My cat gives this a five mice rating!
I have three cats, one of whom is a genius. Because of this, it is really difficult to find toys and games that stimulate her- she will play with a new toy for just a few minutes before getting bored, even playing with me. I wanted to find something that would be more of a challenge at her level, and so I gave this puzzle game a go.It was an instant hit as soon as I filled it with treats! The instructions said to show the cat how to solve each puzzle first, but she is very smart and worked it out herself in about twenty minutes. She has now trained me to restock it with cat biscuits twice a day by sitting in front of it until I do so, and getting cross with me if I forget! She has learnt all the puzzles by heart and can get all the treats out now in about 1-2 minutes, but she purrs away to herself the whole time, she loves it!My other two cats aren't allowed near it because she thinks it's hers (it is...), but I'm not sure they know how to operate it! So it might depend on your cat's nature as to whether they get as much out of it. But I would certainly recommend it if your cat is very smart!

great product for a clever cat
this looks great and seems simple enough to use. my cat however cant figure it out even though I have shown him numerous times. bless him. we still have great fun with it though as he can smell the treats so he is interested and repeatedly taps it with his paw- I help him get to it by moving his paws for him to move the blocks etc. each time he is surprised to see a treat miraculously appear and gets very excited. I imagine this is very stimulating for a cat who is able to understand the mechanisms and get the treats for themselves. as for my cat, we will continue to do it together and have a laugh along the way

Love it
This is the second Trixie cat activity I own! We love it. Took my cat a few weeks to understand it as with other puzzles but now she can use it, it’s perfect to give treats whilst keeping her brain active.

Going for a 'spin'
I have 4 cats and due to health reasons have had to be kept indoors lately. They were getting quite bored so I bought this turn around toy to help occupy them. They were all interested at first as they could smell the treats. But biting the tubes and patting them or pulling the bottom of each tube towards them was producing no results so they gave up.I tried dropping the treats in but they couldn't understand where they went and were looking below for the treat. Clear tubes may have helped! In the end I took some fresh cooked chicken and broke it into small pieces and placed in the tubes. This did get their interest and they weren't going to give up on chicken so easily. One of them soon mastered the 'spin' and so I gave all the tubes a good clean out and put treats back in with lids on two. He mastered this well and now recognizes that no noise on a 'spin' means it's empty. We have now moved on to the three lids with three smaller holes as this has slowed down his consumption of treats. The others still haven't really figured it out. One knows the tube needs to move but hasn't figured out it needs to spin. Another just hasn't a clue - bless him, and the last isn't too fussed by treats so doesn't bother trying, though she gives it a pat from time to time. They have all learnt t hang around when the smart one is spinning the tubes though as the treats go flying.I'm considering mixing the treats in with normal dry cat food as currently we they are going through quite a few treats in a day.A heavier base to stop it tipping easily and clear tubes would have given this 5 stars.

Great... Depending on your moggy's perseverance levels
Great item, really pleased with it for price. A piece of cake to assemble. Didn't even open instructions but there is one.Choice of different lids, large hole or the ones with 3 holes in each. This kept my 2 moggies interested for ages, one quick to suss it, the other not so. The raised section at the Base is great also because they have to scoop the treat biscuits out from between the plastic spines (not sure what to call them, but they're not sharp). It can topple over but that really depends on if your cat tries to use it as a climbing frame! They treats are partially visible in the tubes despite what I'd read elsewhere.Really rate this & if you have a mischievous kitty like me, then this is worth the £ to give them a challenge.Very pleased with it.
