Works like a heat sin, and it's rugged
This was exactly what I needed to keep my GoPro 3 from overheating while filming youth baseball games. Add a USB cooling fan for middle of the day in direct sunlight!

It's as good as it looks!
This is a very nice option for youtubers. If you do vlogs, but only have a gopro you can use a microphone for greater audio. If you make films, this will also give you the option for big external microphones! As you can see, it also looks very nice! The only problem is the screws used to mount the gopro adapter is very small. For that reason they may get lost.

Perfect fit, exactly the "Skeleton" case I needed!
Exactly what I needed! I love my gopro 4, I use it several times a week and there are may times when I just use the camera only with no housing. I do this because of the audio is much better. I almost purchased the gopro plastic skeleton housing but I wanted something a bit more rugged and I also wanted the ability to use screw on filters. I use my gopro most of the time on a tripod so having native tripod mounts is awesome. Also the cold shoe is great too as I have an external mic that I use which fits into the cold shoe. Overall I am really glad I made this purchase over the gopro version. The aluminum construction is classy and rugged. See bloe for pros/cons of this cage.Pro:- All Aluminum body with a textured finish- Beveled edges, no sharp edges!- Lens cap included- Cold shoe plus go pro mount included- Gopro fits perfectly, no issues whatsoever with fit- Multiple mounting locations and mount options- Wrist strap included- Easy to get gopro in/outCons:- Its a bit heavier than original go pro case, but that should be expected once you see this cage, its built very well- Cold shoe mount has loosened a bit unexpectedly couple times but I don't tighten these down a lot as I fear stripping the threads if I over tighten. I leave cold shoe on all the time anyway so might just thread-lock itOverall this is a excellent buy at under $20. You will find plastic ones in this price range and aluminum is superior in my opinion. I received this gopro cage at a discounted price for a fair, unbiased, and honest review. This Case is Super Tough AND it Looks Nice!!
I think this is by far my favorite case!! Nothing is hurting this one. At first I couldn't get my Hero 3+ to fit and I couldn't figure out why. Then I realized that I still had my UV filter on the lens. Oops! lol After that it fit perfectly!!! The UV filter is supposed to be able to fit but unfortunately I couldn't get mine to. Maybe it's only certain brands of filters. Mine is the kind that fits entirely over the lens.All of the holes are perfectly cut on this case. That they didn't entirely cover the onboard mic is a big plus for me! It even has a threaded screw hole on the bottom and top for a traditional tripod mount. It comes with a mount adapter and every mount I have tried has worked perfectly with this.The only possible improvement I could maybe see making is the strap. Right now the GoPro stays held into this case by two screws. One is a regular screw, the other is the D-ring screw where you attach the strap. My fear is that with time the strap might unscrew that d-ring screw and allow the GoPro to fall out. So if the strap could be attached anywhere else it would make me feel a lot better about carrying it by the strap. Other than that, this case is perfect! Not only that, I think it looks pretty awesome too!I highly recommend this case to my friends and family and I would buy another one if I needed to!***I purchased this item at a discount in exchange for my HONEST and UNBIASED review. High Quality!
Compare to a plastic skeleton housing made by GoPro, this aluminum housing case allows for more setups like led attachments, 37mm filter lens attachment and standard tripod. It is really lightweight and provides better protection. You get access to all ports and buttons as well as the ability to use any GoPro bacpack.
