Awaken the Learner (Essentials for Principals) Paperback – August 15, 2014

Great book

The first half is a personal appeal. One can feel Mr Scott's past n but that does not mean that his appeal is valid. Feel good approaches end up not being supported and one and done means it will not stay. The second half is Marzono's ideas of instructional change. Not bad but not earth shattering either. Can be done and Marzano provides a road map for it.

Needed this book for a class. Great read! Lots of good info.

I would recommend this to anyone who feels that there is something missing in education today. Awakening the learner is something we all can do as we think about the why or purpose in what we are doing in schools. We have to think about how meet individual needs and this book gives real ideas to address this.

This book is a must read for all educators - I teach on the university level and found great ideas for challenging my students in area of critical thinking - also provided rationale for instruction along with flipped classroom. Dr. Susan Jetton
