Q: Is the s pen secure in this case?

Can actually keep the S pen in its magnetic area, as it has a flap that closes over it. There is also the spot the other video shows, that is probably a bit more secure but I honestly haven't had a problem just keeping it in the magnetized/charging area on the tablet, with that flap to make sure it stays in place

Q: would i be able to fold the screen cover back to lay flat? (a picture would be helpful!)

Yes, it will fold around to the back of the tablet.

Probably bc they have a case that they already make that fits the tab 8, possibly.
