If you want a solid Hi-temp silicone that dries pretty decently fast and is leak proof, then here you go. You really cant go wrong with Loctite products anyway. In my experience, this gasket maker was used for an automatic transmission oil pan for a 2016 Mazda 6. I removed the old silicone, cleaned up the pan really well, spread some of the Loctite silicone and let it sit in the open air for around 10-15 min. After that short time I installed the pan and poured in the fluid, then I took the car for a drive and rechecked for leaks. Worked perfect. Highly recommend any Loctite product but I would purchase this gasket maker again for sure.

This gasket maker works as described. The only thing I could not find in the description if it is safe to use in food/drinking water related application. For example, I wanted also to also use this gasket maker in my instant hot water heater for drinking water (which was leaking due to deteriorated gasket), but could not find any info about it. hypothetically the gasket maker turns into rubber after vulcanization and it is not corrosive. If somebody knows anything about it - please share.

I had a bad oil leak in my 2000 Dodge 2500 Cummins. I took the truck apart, and I went in, and pressure washed the old silicone gasket off to make sure it was completely off. After that, I installed a bead about 1/8th inch as the instructions said, and I installed it back on the truck. Then I snugged the bolts down to where they just started to push against the block, spread out the gasket, and left it for a day. The next day, I tightened it down the rest of the way, put it back together, and hadn't had any leaks since.

This is one of the best, if not best sealant gasket maker to use in a high oil application.

Just what I needed for the project I was doing. It worked well as described. Highly oil resistant.
