petprojekt Large Dogmeat T-Bone Steak, Dog Toy

I was excited when I got this for our dog because it looked realistic and he was eager to play with it. However, after literally less than 5 minutes of playing fetch with it, our little Westie had torn into it and was breaking off little pieces of the plastic around the house. As soon as it was punctured the toy stopped squeking and the small pieces he was tearing off were a choking hazard. And our dog is a little 15 pound fluff ball, I can't imagine what a real dog would do to this toy. I would not recomend it for anyone unless it is purely to look at.

This is a great squeaky toy to keep your dog engaged. However, don't leave it alone with the dog; keep it as an inside or confined space toy. I bought one and left it with my dog and she ate right through the corner and destroyed its squeak.

Although Petprojekt doesn't say what the toys are made of exactly, they do claim that their product is nontoxic, Phthalate free and BPA free.The squeak is good and the product is lifelike. Strange as it sounds, it lasted longer with my larger dog. The smaller dogs or dogs that prefer to nibble as opposed to chewing will quickly put a hole in this. The steak lasted a month before my dog nibbled a hole in it but when I bought her a replacement steak and turkey leg she nibbled holes in both almost immediately. So much for what they say about a dog's short memory!So stay close to your pup with this toy. It's cute and your dog will like it if they like chewy squeak toys, but for the price you may just want to pass on this one.

Do NOT give to your dog.First, the packaging: yes it's just like a real steak packaging. Throw this away - it is not part of the toy even though it looks like a lot of detail went into the packaging.Second, the toy is made of a weird plastic that easily falls apart. If you DO decide to give this to your dog, watch them with it. Take the broken pieces and toss them immediately.My dog had this chewed and opened in less than 15 minutes. Thankfully the squeaker was still inside.

This was a fun gift to give and it looks really cool, but once our medium size golden doodle got a hold of it she tore holes in it. I'm not sure if that's par for the course but it didn't hold up very long. I wouldn't buy any other products from them, at least not for this dog.

Our dog didn't like this as much as her other DogMeat Toy but I can't explain why that is.

Hard to do a review for a dog toy but here goes. I picked up my dog from grooming the same day this arrived. I told him in the car that his new toy arrived. Upon coming home he ran over to his toys and picked this one out. It's been a few weeks and the steak is never left behind. He loves it! So far I have seen no problems with holes being chewed in it or with paint peeling.

Took my mini doxi 10 min to chew a hole in it. Was hoping it would last longer than that.
