Great quality Catholic Bible !
Excellent Catholic Bible, high quality leather cover and pages. The print is easy to read, not too small. The pages are thin but not unusually so for a Bible.

Nice to have
My copy has a small wrinkle on the front cover. Other than that, the physical is fine.I have a few quibbles for deuterocanonical portions of Esther and Daniel. To differentiate the deuterocanonical (DC) and the protocanonical (PC) portions, they italicize it. I find this to be distracting and a footnote telling you about this difference should've been sufficient. The DC parts of Esther have the verse numbers of (for example for Chapter 1) 1a, 1b, 1c and so on while the PC parts have the regular verse numbers. Most Catholic translations have the DC portions under a chapter with a letter (like Chapter A) for the DC parts. While I don't like this at least it's not as annoying as having twenty verses with the same number. Daniel 3 has the Song of the Three where the PC are numbered as it would be, then the DC continues on, and then ends with the PC/DC verse numbers (like verse 24/91). I don't know why they didn't do a similar approach with DC Esther.Last major quibble is the font size, which is 8. Thankfully my eyes are fine and can read it, but others who might have issues are going to be found wanting. I find a large-print size to be easier to read even with my eyesight. An Anglicized edition from Cambridge has a 9.5 size, and this seems to be the best option for a font size. There doesn't seem to be a large-print with the DC in Septuagint order anywhere and that is disconcerting. There is a video by Peter Chapman on the differences between ESV and ESV-CE which I found interesting called "Differences and changes between the ESV-CE and ESV in the Protestant Canon" on Youtube. Douglas Beaumont has a video on Youtube titled "The Augustine Bible: a Catholic ESV?" for more information.I personally don't like study notes or references in my Bibles so the fact that there are just translation and manuscript notes on the bottom are more than fine with me.If Augustine Institute (or anyone else) had a good genuine leather large-print edition released in the future, I'd go with that. Otherwise, for a non-Anglicized version, editions from AI is the only ones available.

Beautiful edition, pages slightly thin
The cover and exterior construction are amazing. The pages are quite thin, but that is to be expected. The text speaks for itself.

Wonderful edition, hefty price tag
ESV Catholic edition is a wonderful translation of the full canon of scripture, using the best manuscripts. It’s definitely my favorite of the English translations, and it’s nice to have the deuterocanonical additions in their rightful place. However, the additions to Daniel and Esther are in Italics in the body of the text, which is visually distracting. The footnote explaining their origins and the alternative verse numbering system is plenty to distinguish the additions without the need for Italics. All other deuterocanonical writings are in normal font. Christ’s words are not in red, which is disappointing. Maps in the back are in color, which is nice. There are also blank Notes pages, if that’s your thing. As for the binding, I am a bit disappointed in the “leather bonded” leather - it’s paper thin, to the point where you can see the card stock’s outline through the leather. It’s not as soft as I’d imagined, and definitely not worth the $70 price tag. ESV offers bibles made of actual leather for roughly half that price - why they choose to double the price for Catholics is beyond me, but I knew the price walking in. Either way, I can recommend this Bible, but it would be nice if it were a good $20-30 cheaper. I’d also like to see the Italics removed and Christ’s words visually distinguishable in red font.

Best Bible that I own.
The ESV Catholic Edition Bible is an excellent Bible for everyone. The ESV is the best translation of the Bible in my opinion. This translation also includes the apocrypha properly placed in the Old Testament rather than off to the side as some other versions place these books. If you are a Roman Catholic, fear not as this Bible has received the nihil obstat and imprimatur. This is also a great Bible to use if you are an Orthodox Christian though this version (apart from the apocrypha) is based on the Alexanandrian text-type and not the Textus Receptus used by the NKJV which is a favorite English translation of Orthodox Christians like the Orthodox Study Bible. If you are an Anglican Christian you will also like this Bible with the only difference being that the apocrypha is placed in the Old Testament rather than at the back of the Bible where Anglicans have traditionally placed the apocrypha in their Bibles. If you are an Evangelical Christian then take some time to read the Jewish writings known as the apocrypha since these writings were certainly known to Jesus Christ, his Apostles, the Patristic Church, and the Medieval Church in both the West & the East. This particular Bible is great in that it appeals to all branches of Christendom in one way or another. I own a hardcover which is fantastic, so I cannot speak to the quality of the paperback or the leather cover. My only complaint is that it isn't available on Kindle.

Excellent Catholic Bible.
This is an excellent Catholic Bible, one of my favorites due to its size and simplicity and well put together as a hardbound book just as expected and perfect for on the go use.

Very nice quality
This is my new favorite every-day forever Bible. The cover is a very high quality bonded leather. It has the sewn binding. It was printed in Italy. The size of the font is not specified but the size appears to my eye to approximate a 10pt Times New Roman. It is printed in paragraph format, 2 column. There are only some translation notes, no commentary, It's JUST the Bible, and I prefer that. Black letter edition.I recommend this Bible
