Really misunderstood the purpose of this product. Not much usefulness, just a burger mold. Burgers too fat and still need flattening to produce a good size burger, not a meatball.

My review of this burger press, which I received in exchange for an honest evaluation and opinion, is as much of reflection of my personal preferences as it is for the quality of the product itself. This press is easy to clean either in a sink of dish water with detergent or in a dishwasher. Initially I washed both parts of this press in my dishwasher, which uses much hotter water than hand washing, and my results proved unequivocally that this press is dishwasher safe.Some burger presses that I've used in the past were more trouble than they were worth. This one has some meritorious features that makes it worthwhile to consider. I like that the silicone material from which it is made imparts no taste or odor to whatever food is pressed by it and that the patties are easy to remove. Making four patties at a time is a logical quantity for a press. This product page clearly shows what is being sold, so I have included no photos.Completely filling each compartment with ground beef to make hamburgers produces a half-pound patty, which is twice as large as I prefer. My work-around is to divide one pound of ground beef into four equal parts and then put those parts into one-half of the press, leaving the other half of the press unused. Using a small spatula to press the patties, I can make 1/4 pound sizes that easily pop out and are in perfect shape. My usual practice is to buy discount ground beef in larger quantities than I will need right away, package it in one pound sizes in freezer bags and then store it for future use in my freezer.Once I have thawed one or more of those frozen packages, I use the beef right away. It might be for spaghetti, chili, lasagna, hamburgers or other ground beef recipes. Therefore using this burger press for storing frozen meat would not be my preference, even though it could clearly be used for that purpose. For those who want to press half-pound burger patties and use this press to store them in a freezer, this Patty Express could be an ideal solution.

This burger press is a neat idea. It allows you to make patties ahead of time and can also store them in the container, creating less mess. It's easy to use and clean. Since this is oven safe, I also plan on using it for baking. I'm thinking maybe some mini pies or cheese cakes! Highly impressed I have stainless steel egg rings that fit perfectly over the sleeve. That made packing them effortless and perfect200 grams of meat and a dimple was perfect for these. They worked out for me much better than I expected. Using the egg ring made perfect circles and a breeze to slip covers on.
