Nice, well-made toy!
Baby Tad is a very nice, well-made toy. My baby likes to play it from time to time. This is good, because for most of toys we bought for her, she either ignores them or throws them on the floor and happily watches us pick them up.I first bought Fisher Price Learning Puppy for my baby, and she likes the Puppy more, but after only a few months, the Learning Puppy broke (she also stepped on the Puppy more than once). I also think that the Learning Puppy is cuter, but Baby Tad has some buttons on the chest which can teach colors and shapes. Although I have at least four other toys which teach colors and shapes, Baby Tad is the only one that has a soft body. Otherwise both toys pretty much do the same things, but I feel that Baby Tad is well-made. My baby jumped on it quite a few times, but it's still in perfect shape.

Great Toy for ANY kid!
My daughter is going on 6 years old and still loves her Tad. We just purchased our second one because the last one had a button that stopped working, NO biggie!(We got it at a garage sale when she was a baby, who knows how long that thing was in service before we bought it). I would have given it 5 stars, but we didn't receive the exact Tad in the picture. All purely cosmetic differences, it plays all the same songs and has all the same buttons, but it wasn't wearing the overalls it was wearing music note pajamas and a bib. Like I said, for us, not a big deal. She still loves it just as much as the first one. However, if you order this with your heart set on the exact Tad in the picture, you may be dissappointed

Grandchildren's Favorite Toy
I bought two Hug and Learn Baby Tad's for grandchildren at Christmas. My 11 month old granddaughter got tons of toys but she preferred Baby Tad. My two year old great-grandchild also loved and preferred her Baby Tad. I also bought a larger more advanced stuffed frog, for a great-grandson and he plays with it much of the time. I'm sorry , don't remember the name of it. Also bought a School Time and I think it was called Play and Learn, it was more advanced than School Time for 5 and 4 yr. old great-grandsons. They have spent a lot of time using these also. I believe these are the neatest, most wonderful toys I have ever seen. I have been recommending them to everyone. Thank you for the opportunity of writing this.

Makes my girl smile
I bought this when my daughter was 6 mos and she didn't think much of it. I put it away until we had to take a long car trip. Now, I keep it in the car and she loves it. She doesn't play with Tad for long, but everytime I put it on and push the buttons with her, I get a smile! It's a great routine to start a car trip and, as I said, she likes it.It's not too loud and doesn't say too much stupid stuff, like some toys. It's cute and somewhat educational. You can play with your child and teach them colors and shapes. Overall - a good buy.

Handy Helper
We got Baby Tad because it was a Leap Frog item and being a school teacher and having a lot of Leap Frog equipment in the class I thought it would be great to have for my little one. BT is becoming more important since my little one is now a year old. He will stay still long enough to let us change his diaper as long as BT is singing to him. 6 minutes till nite nite will do the trick. The 6 other songs with the shapes is really great. I do agree with others that the volumn is a bit high. My wife and I like pushing the lips real fast and watching our little one laugh. I would highly recommend BT to any new parents! It is well worth the price.

My niece was enchanted
I got this for my niece for her first birthday. She was mesmerized by all the sounds and lights and things to do with it. At somepoint Tad says, "Let's snuggle" and she immediately grabbed it and gave it a big hug.I don't know how durable it will be in the long run or for how long it will hold her attention, but I loved giving her a gift that she clearly enjoyed receiving.

A Favorite!
My daughter has owned Tad since she was two...now that she's eight, she still loves and uses him. He taught her some gross motor skills, and colors and shapes. Mostly he's her best snuggle pal when she sleeps. Kids love waking up in the middle of the night to Tad...and won't wake up Mom and Dad when they have him to play with. Awesome all the way around!
