Life saver for weak and brittle hair
I literally fry my hair with heat appliances and my hair gets so weak and brittle. This shampoo is literally a life-saver! Stronger and much healthier hair, and I m starting to see a reduce in damaged strands, frizz, and spilt ends. Really amazing for those who use heat appliances frequently!

It not only works, it wows! My hair has never looked or felt better.
I’ve spent a lot of money over the years to try to find a shampoo that could tame my frizzy hair and I’m delighted to say that I’VE FOUND IT!Root Re-Boot from Wild Science Lab is a damage rescue shampoo made with organic hemp seed that aims to add strength, shine and smoothness to dry, damaged hair. It also contains organic aloe vera and 6 essential oils: lavender, ylang ylang, linden, magnolia, cedarwood and lemon myrtle. It comes in a tall, slim 300ml pump bottle. The pump twists to open and close and it’s really handy to quickly lock the pump so you don’t accidentally lose any precious shampoo. The shampoo itself is a light pearlescent golden colour and you don’t need to use lots of product to produce a rich, foamy later. The smell is very unique as the hemp seed and essential oils create an earthy, herbal, and fresh aroma. It’s really hard to describe the smell and although I quite liked it, I could imagine it being off-putting to some people.Using the shampoo on its own, I noticed a difference in my hair from the very first use. My hair was smoother, softer and straighter than it’s ever been after just blow-drying. There was definitely less frizz and the colour looked more vibrant. When I next used it, I followed the shampoo with the recommended Root to Tip conditioner and the effect was amazing - smoother, softer and straighter than before. It’s quite expensive, priced at £20 for 300ml (at the time of review), however, I’ve paid more for shampoo and my hair’s been no better for it. At least this works; in fact it not only works, it wows! My hair has never looked or felt better. I’ll certainly be coming back for more of this amazing shampoo. Very highly recommended.

Gentle, Cleansing Shampoo
The product comes unboxed in a thick sealed plastic bag (in case of spillage) and pump bottle has a cellophane seal and collar. It is a clear shampoo and smells of the hemp seed oil (to me ) strongly, sort of herbal. This surprised me as after water, Aloe is the main ingredient and the ingredient list is packed with other sweet smelling essential oils that soothe and calm and have anti inflammatory properties such as Ylang Ylang, magnolia, Lavender and lemon myrtle as well as more spicy and leathery, Linden, Oud Samurat and Cedarwood oil.I can't see a full ingredient list on the Amazon page, so here is the list which may be important as some essential oils may be allergens for some people:Aqua/Water/Eau, ***Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Leaf Juice, Disodium Lauryl Sulfosuccinate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Lauryl Glucoside, Erythritol, ***Cannabis Sativa (Hemp) Seed Oil, *Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Flower Oil, *Cananga Odorata (Ylang Ylang) Flower Oil, *Tilia Cordata (Linden) Flower Extract, *Michelia Alba (Magnolia) Flower Oil, *Juniperus Virginiana (Cedarwood) Wood Oil, *Backhousia Citriodora (Lemon Myrtle) Leaf Oil, Coconut Acid, Parfum/Fragrance, Coco Glucoside, Glycerin, Glycol Distearate, Polyquaternium-7, Laureth-4, Glyceryl Oleate, Sorbitan Sesquicaprylate, Hydroxyacetophenone, Phenoxyethanol Ethylhexylglycerin Sodium Chloride, Sodium Benzoate, **Linalool, **Geraniol, **Benzyl Benzoate, **Benzyl Salicylate, **Hexyl Cinnamal.*Essential oil**Potential Allergen***Certified OrganicThe list of ingredients is pretty long and has a lot of ingredients you see in all shampoos that always make me shudder a little such as linalool and benzyls. However, I do really like that the shampoo is sulphate free and has no silicones. Therefore, I think it is safe for the "Curly Girl Method" which I follow a simplified version of to help tame and maintain my wavy/curly hair. I think the shampoo lathers fairly well for an sls free shampoo as they are always a bit less sudsy than sodium laureth sulphate ones. It does feel like a "gentle" shampoo. I like it but I don't quite rate it as a "rescue" shampoo. It doesn't feel amazingly moisturising to me, just gently cleansing like a baby shampoo. My hair feels light and soft after use.I know pumps are condiered un eco friendly but they are really useful in the shower so I do like the pump and the slim 300ml design of the bottle.

Cut the chemicals and get healthier hair
I have to say, I am quite the fusspot when it comes to shampoos and conditioners. I have long hair that takes quite a lot of maintenance and I like to use good quality ones, that usually come with a hefty price tag. This shampoo falls somewhere in the middle for me.What I love about this shampoo is it is free from a lot of the usual nasties that lurk in some brands that although can make our hair feel soft, are actually stripping it from the healthy oils we need and drying it out in the long run. It's also filled with beautiful essential oils and is pretty much all-natural.The shampoo itself is quite thin compared to others, and I found I needed a little more than I would usually use to get a nice lather for all my hair. That isn't unusual for shampoos that don't contain all the horrid SLS though. It has a pleasant scent, which I found really nice.As for results, I would say this is pretty average out of the similar ones I've used in the past. Don't get me wrong, it does do a good job but it didn't leave my hair with the super shine I was hoping for. Aside from that though, I am happy to use it as it is free from all the nasties we don't need and want. Price-wise, it's expensive, but not unusual for a product that uses quality organic ingredients. I will generally pay a lot for a good shampoo that delivers results. Would I buy this again? Probably, but I'm not sure it would be on my top ten list of must-haves. I rate this a 4/5.
