I purchased this Skimmer net over 3 years ago and aside from a little sun bleaching of the red coloring it is absolutely as good as new. This is hands down the very best skimmer net I have ever purchased. The quality is 2nd to none. ProTuff did not cheap out in any way with this pool rake - I understand why this product came with an unlimited free replacement warranty - this thing is made so well, it won't have to be replaced probably ever. And don't think I have been easy on this thing. I have 6 trees all around my house that dump millions of leaves into my pool every year. This rake makes getting them out a breeze. It is huge and holds way more leaves than I can even carry, and I can scrape this thing all over the bottom to get the big leaves and debris that falls down to the bottom of the pool ( which is ALOT). It has held up really well. If you look closesly at the top of the rake you might see minor (and I mean MINOR) wear on the red plastic. No holes or unraveling or powderizing of the netting either. The net looks brand new just like the day I got it. And it is heavy duty, too. Ask the huge 4 pound prehistoric sized orange iguana I fished out last week. I used to buy pool nets every year or so. Sure, ProTuff is a little more, but its been over 3 years and still good as new, so if you value quality and don't want to waste your money on inferior products, get ProTuff's pool rake. You will not be disappointed and I am sure you will agree, it is the best pool rake/skimmer net you have every purchased! It served us extremely well for seven years, but eventually we did have an issue with the netting and surrounding plastic. The replacement process was smooth, professional, and handled exactly as promised. All I did was fill in a form online. No arguments or lengthy hold times on a phone listening to bad elevator music. I originally purchased this net about 6 years ago for my FL in-ground pool. I've used it about twice per month to scoop up larger debris like Palm fronds before setting my robot vacuum loose. The net worked fine, but the plastic rim eventually cracked and it completely fell apart about a week ago. Looking to buy a replacement, I checked my order history here to see what I bought. I was happy to "rediscover" that my net had a lifetime warranty! Better yet, the warranty service is actually as easy as stated. I used the warranty link on the ProTuff website, entered my Amazon order # and my address, and that was all I needed to do. It really did take about 2 minutes. I got an email saying a replacement would be sent out shortly. My new pool net arrived 3 days later. And I was VERY happy to see that it's been improved. Most importantly, the plastic rim is thicker and much sturdier. The net seems a bit sturdier too, and it has a zipper for easy replacement. The plastic rim can also be removed and replaced separately (unlike my first net), which all makes sense for more cost-effective warranty service. This net requires a bit of easy assembly. Just remove the 2 zip ties holding the frame tight, attach the bracket (2 sides and a sleeve fit over the ends of the metal frame, then 3 screws to secure), and it's ready to use. NOTE: Don't cut the zip ties; they are reusable, with a small nub that releases the strip when pushed. A few extra ones are provided too (just for personal use), and I will be using them for luggage, etc. The new net works fine, and seems a bit smoother than my original. This could be due to the thicker, wider plastic rim. I'm pretty sure it will last longer than my first one, and the real lifetime warranty means I won't need to buy a new one down the road. For quality, sturdiness, and warranty, this net is definitely a great deal compared to the cheaper nets I looked at. Highly recommended.

This is the time of year that I have my battle with the leaves from all of my deciduous trees, so the net is used daily. The net works beautifully and I am very impressed with the design changes! From being able to replace individual parts to the little tab on the net to aid in emptying, it is well thought out. I am also quite impressed with ProTuff's customer service. They replaced both my original, and its replacement, quickly and without question - extraordinary. I was fully prepared to send the old one back, or at least a photo, but no. ProTuff's lifetime warranty is exactly as advertised, as is the quality of the product. Just so you are aware, it was the netting that failed in both the original net and it's replacement, so I was particularly glad to see that it can now be replaced without discarding the whole tool. So many items these days end up in a landfill simply because they are not designed to be repaired. Kudos to ProTuff for that! I also have one of ProTuff's poles to use with my net and ProTuff brush. How I managed with the locking mechanism on other telescoping poles, I'm not sure. The old compression style joint was truly frustrating. To sum up, my ProTuff products purchase was money well spent. I wouldn't buy any other, nor would I recommend any other to those in the market for this equipment.

This company is amazing. I bought their net and it is the best net ive ever used. The quality is strong and the design helps trap the leaves. They make their lifetime warranty process so simple. The size of the net is large and the scooping design of the net allows you to grab debris at the bottom of the pool. It is very easy to assemble and it is adjustable, unlike other brands. I got the most value for my money with ProTuff.

Top notch customer service along with a great product. I bought the ProTuff 13" spa silt net almost 6 years ago. It was a little more money than other options but the company advertised a no questions asked warranty so i bought it. It's seen a ton of use since then and the net finally gave up the ghost at the end of the summer. The frame and everything else is still in great condition. I got on their website to look into the waranty. I entered the amazon order number to register it (6 yrs after purchase) clicked another button or two and that was it. A few days later a replacement showed up at my door. I've never experianced anything like that before. A truely no questions asked warranty. They followed up with a direct email asking about my experience and I couldn't be happier. I'd highly recommend ProTuff if your in the market for one of their products and i'll definately be buying from them again!! This kind of company is a rare thing in this day and age. I've been using these nets for several years now and don't want to use anything else. We live in Arizona so between the sun and the year round use we were looking for something that would really hold up. I've bought the expensive nets from the local pool stores and while they aren't bad, the frames are often lacking durability. I've had the net frame plastic that runs against the bottom of the pool flip over to where the net doesn't glide smoothly and pick up leaves and debris as it should. This is not a problem with the Protuff nets at all. The frames are exceptional and the quality of the net material is better then the very best ones at the local pool store. The leaf net fabric is a bit rigid at first but once it wears in a bit it becomes more flexible and works quite well. Even the very best nets don't last forever here. The intense summer sun here destroys anything plastic that is left outside. The plastic on the nets did discolor over several years but impressively it didn't fail. I have had other nets fail in this regard before. After a few years of being outside in the sun with daily use in a pebble tec pool the nets did start to get some small holes in them. Not surprising as they were rubbed against the rough pebble surface every day for several years. Even when the nets developed holes they were still usable while I waited for a replacement. I've had other nets go from a small hole to a complete failure almost instantly. Before this purchase, I was going through the very best pool store nets and they just weren't cutting it. Those nets weren't any cheaper as they'd run around the $40 mark per net and didn't have a lifetime warranty. These Protuff nets do hold up quite a bit better and they are what I'd call professional quality. I did use the warranty and was send a brand new replacement net without question. Some of the very best warranty experience I've encountered so far with any product. Just a few simple questions to answer (what product, where to send it, Amazon order number) and a new one is on the way. A very quick and simple process. I was always taught to buy quality tools and take care of them. My time has value and I do save some time in not fighting with lesser quality tools to get the pool clean. These products do cost a bit more but I won't be buying them over and over again, so in the long run they are saving me money. I would highly recommend this product.

First off the ProTuff warranty is real! I was very pleasantly surprised. And the products are very good. Why 4 star? This review is actually for ProTuff to see a customer's take on the impact of the slight design changes. The design change to the 23" net makes the new not near as good functionally as the old 23"; which the excellent warranty replaced. The old design had a more rectangular shape and a symmetrical shaped net. What the old design does is prevent leaves from spilling out on the sides as it gets closer to full. In the new design the trapezoidal shape combined with the pyramidal netting shape makes the "effective" volume of the net smaller. In fact, much smaller from an effectiveness or use perspective. Actual volume might not be so different, but the impact is big. The old very rectangular net and edge was much more effective and held more leaves and allowed less spill out. It is a pretty pronounced difference. The second thing is the ends of the edges seem to protrude forward more than the old one which makes the front lip ride off the bottom of the pool such that the leaves are allowed to pass under instead of being forced into the net. These slight dimensional changes have had a big use case impact. I REALLY like the old design. Unfortunately the old one delaminated on the leading edge and exposes the pool surface to metal so I can't use it anymore. All that said, the products (I have others of theirs) are well built and the warranty is 100% real. Just for that, I would stick with ProTuff. (Pictures are difficult to show real cause and effect)
