It slides. There is nothing grippy about it.
It is a beautiful rug, but if you buy it, be sure to buy those rug things that keep it in place because its got the moves like Jagger lol. I can't say if it lays flat or not because I just unrolled it. It's of average thickness there's no smell and it fits perfectly where I want it to go. It feels good under my bare feet compared to the wood floor lol.

This carpet was much more beautiful than I expected easy cleaning. The only thing I would suggest is that you lay something on the corner so they stay flat for a few days. Otherwise great road great thickness everything

We purchased this carpet for our front door entry (foyer) and it looks beautiful. It's very stylish and looks designer made and is of great quality. We bought the brown & tan color for the fall season and I just ordered the blue & gray one for winter. Both my husband and I love this carpet!
