Platinum Extra Dark Pencils 1 Pack X 10 Pencils + Eraser And Sharpner Free

Smooth and dark, sharpens well, a good value. Seems a bit smoother than Nataraj Bold and Apsara Platinum. Compares well with General SemiHex No. 1 in smoothness and darkness. Not quite to level of Blackwing 602, but a fourth of the cost. Erases adequately but not quite completely on newprint, a little better on better paper, have not tried it on artist grade papers. Came in couple weeks, not bad for free post from India.

Great for using on appointment books that take alot of erasing. Very bold dark color that stands up to lots of page turning.

A very nice pencil for writing. It is smooth to use and glides across standard paper. You can actually read what you write clearly as the pencil is dark enough to stand out. I gave a 4 star because it could be darker to stand out more. No idea if you can use for sketching because I purchased to be able to write with. My only draw back I am thinking could be my sharpener, however not certain, when I sharpen it there is a large 1 1/2 inch from griping position to end of point. I would rather that be less due to where I grasp the pencil. Maybe using a harder wood may enable a shorter grip to end of lead for more control.

I like these pencil because the lead is darker. When I do my letter boxes puzzles it is easier to see.

See for yourself: the top line is with an Apsara platinum "extra dark" pencil, and the bottom is a regular paper mate #2 mechanical pencil. I think the normal mechanical pencil even looks darker. Don't fall for their marketing scheme.Also, they didn't include an eraser or sharpener.

Very nice set of 10 pencils, eraser and sharpener. Nice grip dark pencils, liked it.

I bought these to write in pencil darker than #2 but I really don't see the difference. Better off buying graphite pencils if you want dark lead pencils.

These pencils are the best I have purchased out of many purchases. They have also lasted the longest!
