Worked and fit perfectly
Bought this to fix weakend seat strut on my scooter. This strut has a thicker shaft and holds up the seat perfectly. Mountings are identical to original. Super good price.

So far so good
I had bought a different brand strut for the seat on my suzuki burgman scooter that failed within a month. This one seems fine and has already lasted twice as long. Not saying much yet. I'll come back and update if it fails.

Exact replacement for 2008 burgman 400.
My old strut would not hold my seat up this one lifts the seat when unlatched. We will see how long it lasts but for the price and how easy it was to change it should be good enough.

2007 Suzuki Burman 400 seat lift
Raised the seat. Pull the upper hitch pin. Raised the seat higher and held it with a bungee cord. Removed the air cleaner/engine cover then I went after the lower BOLT. No hitch pin at the bottom. The bolt has a 10 MM head. And, fortunately, the nut is welded in place. Because just getting to the bolt is a bitch. Not much room to work. A ratching box-end wrench is helpful. Also, a small pair of needle nose vice grips are helpful when reinstalling the bolt. You sure don't want to drop the bolt. I used the vice grips at 90 degrees of the bolt and then placed the bolt in place. Then I used two fingers to get it started; then finished with the ratching box-end wrench. Don't forget to grease the eyelets. Yeah, it was a bit of a pain but worth it in the end. I'm 6'3" tall and I removed the butt pad for a few more inches of legroom. That makes the seat a little lighter. So now when I pop the seat it rises on its own. Sort of a nice byproduct of switching out the strut. It's a nice strut and I'd recommend the effort and part.

Fits like OEM
It fit well and was easy to install. Doesn't have enough lift strength to pop the seat up without assistance.

It works
Finally found the direct replacement for my 2013 AN400. Tried other 3rd party ones that claimed to be compatible but weren’t even close. This one works.
