Excellent way to join wires I used it to rejoin a wireing loom on a car very quick,neat and tidy and good connections every time no waste

Works well. First time I tried it I didn't use enough heat, second time I used a more powerfull lighter and it was perfect.

these obviously cant replace a soldering iron but for joining wires they are quick and easy, i did find that to get the solder to melt i had to use a lot of heat from the heat gun which at least on one occasion did melt the plastic slightly too much and possibly exposed some of the wire (was very small and couldn't tell if the plastic had been breached or not) but i used some normal heat shrink wraps over the top anyway. Overall i would recommend them

These look great on paper, in practice they’re less ideal and I’d probably revert to old fashioned solder and heat shrink.Getting the right temperature seems impossible, too cold and the solder doesn’t melt properly, once you get it hot enough to work the outer transparent heatshrink material becomes a sticky mess.This isn’t a huge problem for individual ones but if you’re tying to join multiple cables in close proximity the connectors can stick to each other and they’re not that robust.Did what I needed them too, but don’t think they saved time in the same way I expected.
