When looking on line, it appeared easy to use, but it has several issues. It's too small for a standard size tortilla. The bottom of the "V" is too sharp & should be rounded more. It causes some tortillas to split & crack. Some of the edges cut into the tortilla and cause holes. In order to use it, you have to drop the tortilla in the oil just long enough to soften it, gently lay it across the inside layer with the device upside down, drop it into the oil, & once it has cooked long enough to partially hold it's shape, remove it from the device and finish frying it. Even doing it this way & working with the partially cooked tortilla, it barely wide enough at the bottom to fill. I don't recommend it. How hard would it be to make it big enough to support the entire tortilla & make the bottom more rounded. This design is stupid, yet it is sold under several brands with one of them costing $45.69. Not worth the $7 I paid.

We were trying to make copy-cat Applebee's Chicken Wonton tacos at home and trying to fry the wonton dough into taco shapes is next to impossible. This will make it a little easier. It basically 'scissors' the dough in place so you can dip it in oil to fry.

If it weren't for the chips... I was all excited to get this taco mold. I opened it, washed it and was about to put it away and saw all of the chips. I can't cook with this because that means it could easily get in my food. I'm so heart broken. I can't be a show off for taco Monday thru Wednesday. 😭😭😭Updated 1/8/22: They replaced the taco mold immediately, yay! I've used it several times in several pots and skillets trying to find the perfect outcome.This would be a 5-star product if (1) the head swiveled so that both sides lay flat or (2) shape the head to extend down from the handle like a deep fry basket is made except it's just going to be the taco holder instead of a basket because unless you have an extremely big, deep pot of oil, it's a waste to make only a few tacos. The improvement would solve this problem. I can help design it if needed. ☺️
