Helps my toddler express and recognize their feelings so well!
My kid loves this book! The illustrations are so colorful and expressive that it's easy for my toddler (three year old) to recognize the different feelings. Sometimes we talk about the different feelings she felt that day as we read the books. She hands me this book sometimes to read to her too because she likes the illustrations so much. I found out about this book from a wonderful family/child therapist (@consciousmommy) on Instagram who had this book on her list of resources. It's been super helpful to navigate her big toddler feelings. Highly recommend.

Wonderful for teaching/discussing emotions with little ones!
This is a fun, colorful, engaging way to talk about emotions with the Littles in your life! It is helpful for emotional development to help them give a name to their different feelings. You can read each example, then bring up situations they might remember from their own experiences that would go with that emotion. My two kids loved it, and now I bought it for my grandson. Highly recommend!

Cute and easy
Easy to read and fun for young kids to help identify feelings.she’s for a nice read aloud or read alone. Helps kids come out of their shell with interesting illustrations and use of emotion words.

Good book for kindergarteners
I ordered this book to read to my school children that I see in the school system in which I provide counseling. It appeared to help the children that I read it to learn basic feelings as well as feelings such as excited, silly, etc. The bright colors and large pictures add to the stories and help to provide a child with an understanding of the feeling words as well as help them to begin a vocabulary to express themselves.

Colorful, engaging book that opens up conversations about emotions
This book is great for preschoolers processing emotions. The illustrations are colorful and engaging. Each page has a feeling, an explanation of why someone might feel this way, and an accompanying picture. My 3.5 year old cannot get enough of this book. First we read through it just as a book. Then we read it again and talk about the emotions on each page, talking about a time when we have felt this way (I.e. what makes you feel frustrated? When my baby brother knocks down my block tower I feel frustrated.). We sometimes practice making a face that goes with each emotion. On days we feel silly we sing a song in the voice of that emotion. Singing "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" in an angry voice is pretty fun. This book will engage your child and open up many conversations about their feelings. The only downside is that your child may want you to read this book over and over again more times than you wish.

18 mo old's favorite
My 18 mo old requests this book every day. She loves hearing and seeing me act out each emotion. I catch her reading it to herself and acting out the pages. This has been a really good starting point to talk about different feelings, what they may sound and look like, examples of those feelings during the day, etc. I try to give one or two examples of feelings my kiddo expressed during the day while reading the book, " remember this morning how frustrated you were when trying to put on your shoes?" Sometimes I will act out a few emotions during the day and say, which feeling is this? I have seen other negative reviews about the book, but you get what you put into it. It's a good starting point but it's up to you to give it more subtance. I also appreciate the end of the book that has some of these suggestions.
