A Non-Essential Story Collection.
This isn't an essential to read. This book sets up the events that lead to the Planet Hulk series, but the story is mediocre. It reprints the stories from both Fantastic Four #533-535, and Incredible Hulk #88-91. Much of what transpires in the book seems insignificant to me story-wise, and could all be explained in one panel (which in The Incredible Hulk #92 definitely is). Granted, the story does fill-in some back story for Banner/Hulk, but I felt like I wasted my time and money. Unless you need to have this as part of your collection, this entire book can be skipped. If you're interested in the Planet Hulk story and events, buy the Planet Hulk graphic novel to jump into this epic tale instead.

Planet Hulk Prelude
The prelude is not absolutely essential to the Planet Hulk storyline but I think it was a great introduction for readers who do not follow the Incredible Hulk storyline. It gives a sense of the superhero community of the Marvel Universe, providing the reader a base on why certain actions are made in later on. It also shows the mindset of Bruce Banner at this time and, at least for me, makes the Hulk seem like a victim for later events. It was a good read. Rather short, but there were a couple of self-contained storylines that did not require previous/extraneous reading. Good buy.

Great set up for the main story
I definitely cannot wait to read planet hulk. It gave me a good amount of build up to what is going to happen next.

Very entertaining
Very nice transition story with nice foreshadowing for planet hulk. Loved the different art styles. The actual stories themselves without planet hulk are kinda so so however in my opinion

Great Hulk story
Its a good read but there are a couple instances where you're left shaking your head at inconsistencies or rushed plot pieces. Its still worth getting though.

Great Prelude
Basically the events that lead directly into the first page of Planet Hulk. Not necessary to read but great to have a little more story.

Good but a touch pointless for all but collectors.
This is a good introduction showing how the idea of getting rid of the Hulk was already circling in the keener minds of those in the Marvel Universe. The story covers a nice little showdown between ben grimm and the hulk as a discussion of monsters and men. It works well and is a bit more indepth than fantastic four #25 when this first happened. The second major story is the actual sending off of the Hulk. Nick Fury does something questionable, hulk is tricked and a fight ensues. He is pretty much then blasted off into space.Personally I like reading story in publication order and getting everything out of it. If i just wanted the story itself I probably wouldn't have cared. this is not that crucial to the story of the hulk nor does it overly inform you of anything other than he was blasted off into space which is pretty self evident.

Gutes Paket
