Expensive - You get what you pay for :)
I saw a few people using the Wimberley MH-100 at our local nature reserve and looked so practical. Looking in to it, it was expensive, more than I wanted to spend. :( Anyway, I decided to get one, and my, I am so impressed. :) Is it just a coincidence that over the last couple of months I have had some of my best ever photos of birds in flight? I don't thinks so! It balances the lens perfectly (Canon RF 100-500). It is so easy to pan the camera with the MH-100. Easy to move around. Much more control than with a ball head or traditional pan & tilt head. More flexible than a full gamble. It is very well made, a little heavy, but solid. I am sure it will last for many years. Why did I not get one before?

Best out there
Expensive for what it is, but then it is the best one to use with a monopod. If you can justify the price then buy it.

It is the best monopod head for big lens
I have tried quite a few monopod (Gitzo 4552L) head including Really Right Stuff, Acratech, Sunwayfoto, etc. for my 800/5.6 lens, this one is the best. It is the easiest to control and most comfortable to carry around. Thanks Wimberley.

not good with heavy lenses
This is a nicely built bit of kit, but there is a design flaw. The Mono Gimbal Head mounts the lens and camera to the side. The bigger the lens the further the centre of gravity is from the monopod shaft. This causes the monopod to tilt to the side and means the monopod isn't taking all the weight of the camera and lens, which to some extent defeats the purpose.

Horrible fit & finish
Once again my second Wimberley & thoroughly poor design & appears to be made by a smith whose main job was perhaps making horse shoes or similar stuff! It is clunky, has rubbish fit & finish, grossly substandard tolerances. I have come to strongly believe all those who like Wimberley are either snooty to show off its high price point or plain simple don’t know what others are making. Unfortunately I had to buy a Wimberley MH-100 as its load bearing capacity was way more than my existing Leofoto monogimbal - which was build so beautifully & complemented my heavy lenses fit & finish. But I didn’t trust something which had a safety factor of 1.4x only. Honest to God!, buy this & see what I am meaning. This thing is a disgrace by calling it photography gear. It should belong to the lock smith or iron-mongers shop

Wow!! I used this MonoGimbal head for the first time the other day with my Benro MAD38C carbon fibre monopod, my Sony a9 and 100-400GM and the Wimberley replacement lens foot. Previously I had been using a lighter weight carbon fibre monopod screwed directly into the lens foot. I LOVE this combination!! The MonoGimbal head is light weight, well-built and simple to use, and wonderfully fluid in motion. It took me very little time to learn to use the Monopod mounted at the side instead of underneath the lens. First I tried the rig with the MonoGimbal mounted on the left side of the lens, and found that the lens foot got in the way of adjusting the switches on the lens. I shifted the MonoGimbal to the right side and perfect!! Now when birds go straight up and over my head, I can follow em with ease. I found this rig easy to hike with too, by resting the lens across the back of my shoulders, with the monopod resting on my right shoulder. I would highly recommend this MonoGimbal head to anyone who spends hours at a time using a telephoto lens and prefers a portable, lightweight support system (as opposed to carrying around a full-sized tripod and gimbal).
