Really good.
This its delicious! I am not a fan of the smell while cooking, but once done its really good. The closest I can describe the flavor it its like a coconut shrimp curry. Just 7 minutes and the noodles are perfect. I add some sesame oil on top and some Chinese broccoli for texture but its because I like some bite on my food.Bought it after ready an article on the NY Times about the best instant ramen. I choose 5 different options, this was the best.

Very tasty!
I watched some videos online where chefs were asked to taste different instant noodle varieties and comment on them. Every time they tried this one, they had good things to say about it. I decided to order a package and try it out. I have to say, it was an incredibly pleasant surprise. The noodles are about as good as any you're going to get in an instant ramen package, and better than some of the cheaper brands. The sauce, though, is what really sets these apart. It's creamy and delicious, like something you might order take-out from a restaurant. Major improvement over similar instant noodle products. With the addition of some protein and veggies, you could probably fool some folks into thinking they're getting something from a restaurant. I definitely recommend these.

Deal with the smell
To respond to the reviewers that were put off by the smell of the paste. Yes, it is strong when you open the package. I was surprised at first. But when boiling the mixture, the smell went way down. By the time the whole thing was ready to eat, the bad smell was gone. The dish is delicious, but not for everyone. I have friends who could not handle it. Try a single package first.

Fantastic noodles
I bought this as after a recommendation. I am chef of a couple of Asian restaurants, and I was really blown away with the quality of this product.

A favorite quick, tasty and filling meal!
This is a repeat purchase of what is becoming a favorite quickly prepared lunch or dinnertime meal. tasty, not overly spicy, and so easy to prepare, and ripe for versatile customizing with your favorite protein, be it frozen cooked shrimp, a can of sardines, hard-boiled eggs, leftover baked chicken or what have you. Very filling and satisfying, it was initially recommended to me by a local chef!

Garbage noodles
These noodles were awful!! I saw so many good reviews online and wanted to try them. While I was cooking, it smelled awful, but I wanted to give it a chance. I tried them and instantly gagged. The flavor was terrible! It tasted like shrimp gone bad. Waste of money!

Great taste, foul smell
This dish actually tastes pretty good and it’s not like a typical ramen noodle. There’s some chew to the noodle and the sauce is pretty creamy as well. Kinda reminded me of a marinara+alfredo sauce mix. However, the smell is so fishy, I couldn’t stand it. I get that it’s shrimp paste but fishy odors put me off from finishing food. It would make the whole house smell when I made it, even with the exhaust turned on. If you’re okay with fishy smells, then get this product, it tastes pretty good.

A few years later
It's been a few years and we've probably eaten these once a month during that entire period. Yes they are prepackaged and dried. Yes the noodles are not absolutely fresh. But they are really really terrific. We add shrimp or chicken or tofu or any other protein, along with lots and lots of vegetables, and it's a brilliant filling dinner.A few tips. We cook the noodles in a separate pot of water, and we drain them but don't bother rinsing in cold water. Before we put the noodles into cook we already have our bowls set out, with everything that's going to be added. Those are given a 15 or 20 second microwave spin just before the noodles are done, to take the edge off the refrigerator cold.We have in the past added sesame oil, hot oil, crunchy garlic with chili oil, chopped up scallions or toasted onion as a garnish. Pretty much anything works if you like it.
