ASC Solar Water Fountain with Pump Kit (Mermaid Pond)

She is surprisingly bigger than expected, which is a good thing. We are using her by the pool instead of the pond because she has to be taken in during the winter, or she can freeze and crack. I am surprised that with such a large solar panel, that the pump won't work on even a slightly cloudy day. Wishing it stayed on all the time. Will probably hook her up to an actual hard wired pump eventually. But overall very satisfied!

poorly cast, too many cracks, thin spots and pinholes. had to repair them with epoxy and repaint before using, although a very good looking design.

Package was damaged but fountain was ok. As I expected the fountain was plastic but nicely molded. It is light and needs a weight in the bottom to keep it from tipping over in a high wind. There is a hole in the base for this. The pump works only when the sun strikes the solar panel. There is no storage battery. For the price I am satisfied. I would like to see a battery option on future ASC products.

She is beautiful. Hubby loves this lovely addition to his mermaid collection. Worth every penny.

Cosmetically it's beautiful...but as others have pointed out, it is EXTREMELY light weight and needs to be modified (tied pinned or weighted) to work if it will be outside and taking wind. PRO: pump is surprisingly strong and solar panel is a good size for the job at hand. CON: 1) very sensitive solar panel...the slightest cloud in front of the sun cuts the power out. Near zero chance of using this as a dependable aerator for livestock (fishes, tadpoles in pond, etc) + if you don't live in a sunny city/area you will be disappointed how often the pump cuts out, and 2) FRAGILE: despite good packing it arrived cracked (pump is packed on side near thigh of mermaid and its weight cracked a wide section in transit/drop, etc). I contacted the mfg thru Amazon regarding the damage on arrival but the mfg was slow to reply, ignored the pic of damage I sent and ultimately did nothing to remedy the problem. We resigned to run the fountain as it is a hide the crack with landscaping. SUMMARY: beautiful but poorly made and not a good value.

she is stunning works amazing big and beautiful ! the pump in in my inground pool filter . ijt was so easy to set up. the only thing I must say is she is light weight and if a strong wind came she would blow down and crake easy. needs to be secured to something . overall for the price she is amazing so glad I got her .AAAAAAAA++++++++++

Unfortunately as beautiful as this fountain is.... the design and materials used for shipping were NOT enough to protect it from arriving cracked in 3 different places at the base. What a pain.

This is a elegant piece of art. I painted bronze with fountain. Bought bigger pump to flow into 4ft.round pool . Sounds great,looks fantastic.
