The ladle itself is great. No rough edges to cause dripping, the handle is a good length and it is sturdy. But the very strong chemical odor from the coating on the handle is awful. I thought it would go away over time, but it has diminished only slightly. I now don't smell it if it's out on the counter. But my hand still smells after I use it. UPDATE: Oct 23,2025.. Been almost 2 years and the odor has diminished to the point that I don't notice it before I pick it up to take a whiff, but it hasn't totally gone away. Other than that, it's holding up very well!

The original perfect ladle for perfect pancakes was lost at camp. Our camp coach had been upset so for Christmas this is what she got. The handle is her favorite color. She loved it and is keeping it safe for our next outdoor adventure. This has a long handle and it's sturdy!

It would be better if it had a little pour spout but it is exactly as described. I use it for making chocolate candy and it is almost perfect for the task. It might rate five stars, I dropped a star because pouring something into a small mold is a bit tricky.
