A great addition to our bathroom for timing control of the exhaust fan. Our kids would leave the fan on for hours forgetting to turn it off. My husband decided to add this to solve the problem. Perfecto! Easy to install and it works great. Now our fan doesn’t run for hours without us knowing it!

A simple timer, but it works perfectly. A bit more expensive than the others, but after ordering one from China and discovering it would not arrive for six weeks, I canceled it and ordered this one. I am happy with it.

I purchased this time to run a bathroom fan that was very quiet and was being left running for long periods. The timer mechanism is working fine and the unit appears sturdy, but the installation instructions are a little vague and are not idiot proof which is what I need. It's also difficult to find the model that you need, there are a couple of different types of 30 minute timers and I just took a guess as to which one I needed. I purchased another one for another bathroom fan but I was not able to install it because I was confused (which is easy for me) by the wiring in my switch box. I called an electrician but his price was high for just installing a timer but that could just be that one electrician.

I have used these numerous times over the years and I don't recall one ever wearing out. They are rather fat, and use a lot of space in your switch box. They make a very soft ticking noise while timing, which doesn't bother me, but might others. Off brands of this tick very loud.

Added timer to bathroom fan

Our bathroom timer is 27 years old and this was the perfect replacement - simple to install and worked perfectly!

I’ve installed these in all our bathrooms. Easy to figure out when installing. One issue is that to turn off the timer before it times out you have to turn the dial counter clockwise. This particular timer is difficult to turn manually and after time the plastic dial has stripped on the metal post and will only catch when turning timer on. Not a big deal but worth mentioning.

This replaces what was basically the same timer switch that I've had for close to 20 years. That switch was getting undependable; sometimes it wouldn't quite make its way back to off so the fan it was attached to would run on and on. Right after I bought this I noticed a number of electronic timer switches. Most of them had preset times--5 minutes, 10 minutes, 30 minutes, etc., up to an hour. No moving parts has advantages, we hope, but I realized that those timers didn't show you how much time was left, and you couldn't set them to in-between times, if you wanted to. I like knowing how much time is left because it also gives me a sense of how long the timer had been turned on. That's helpful if you want to confirm how long someone was in the shower!
