Four different homespun fabrics in green checks and plaids, with pure cotton batting between layers, were used to create this beautiful primitive rag quilted mug rug/candle mat. Each has the traditional "x" sewn through all layers of fabric. Wood buttons adorn 2 of the squares. The reverse side has matching fabric to each square. This Mug rug/candle mat measures 8x8 inches; plenty large enough for a coffee cup and snack, or your most beautiful grunge candle I have already laundered it once to begin the "ragging" process. Each washing will make it even softer and more raggy.
