Cambridge Grammar of English Hardback with CD-ROM: A Comprehensive Guide

For a book costing around $75, and that even after a rebate of in excess of $22, in terms of layout, binding, print quality, and paper quality, it is an absolute disappointment. Having spent that much money, I was hoping that just the production quality would make me keep turning the pages until there was none left to be turned; I must admit that in terms of that particular aspect alone, it has proven to be quite the opposite. For the list price, I would have difficulty picking it up and going through it knowing how much had to be spent in order to get ahold of it. Overall quality, not just the quality of the content, of the item has to be in line with the price tag; in case of this particular item, that's just not the case.

Every once in a while I read a book and I am stunned by the originality of what I read. These men actually did some research; they haven't just restated what others said about the topic. When you read about English in this book you will learning something new, and not just the same old boring stuff of a school textbook that hasn't been updated since 1950. The approach to explaining Grammar feels fresh end the book also reads very smoothly and easily.

Very useful and practical edition for any teachers/students who are doing their jobs or studies. Essential for candidates doing the Delta Module 1.
