What is the gauge of the wires used on this thermocouple?

CAN'T TELL YOU THE GUAGE, HOWEVER THE TERMINALS FAIL TOO OFTEN. I USE THEM, BUT THEY'RE POOR QUALITY. I JUST KEEP A COUPLE SPARES IN STOCK

What temperature does the insulation breakdown/melt? plan to use in an oven/bbq. thinking it is 482 f as k-type goes much higher temp.

I would say 400* max as using it hotter than that starts to degrade it as I've learned. I actually wouldn't use this one for a bbq. I would look for a higher temp one.

What is the lower temperature limit of the probe and plastic? -200 is the limit for K-Type, will it go that low?
