Vico Marine - Vico Marine Boat Vent 3 - Black- 4.75" W x 4.75" D x 2.00" - Quick and Easy Installation

An otherwise exact replacement item for what I had. This item is a replacement with an UpDated design. The updated design addresses the problem with the old design of the Original Boat Vents. The fabric is captured ie sandwiched between the two disc supporting the fabric opening in the Boat Cover. This new design has small teeth place circumferencially so to speak in the bottom disc which are pushed into the reinforced opening of the Boat Cover which grips the fabric. This design prevents the fabric from expanding due to streaching and slipping over/off the disc. Very good quality product. Simple yet very functional. Priced right.

We already had two of the older style vents on our boat cover. We added three more of this new style. They were really easy to install and after 3 months are still intact. They do allow more air flow than the old ones. Under the cover still gets very hot but they do help. We do recommend them.

Really great product idea. I was really simple/easy to install. I haven't had them on the boat long enough to see how well they perform but I bet really well. I put 3 on my 22 foot bay boat and seems about right. I larger version (if ever available) or more units might even be a good idea for more air movement but we will see.

My poor boat has just suffered from a new owner. I bought a nice new cover for it to protect it this fall. Added dehumidifier pellets too and even a fan to circulate the air. That was no match for the amount of moisture that condensed inside. After researching I bought 3 of these and after a month of not having enough time to install them I finally did it.I zip tied a chunk of my kids’ sidewalk chalk on the of of a broom handle and with the cover installed used that to mark about where I needed the vent. Then using a sharpie to mark the hole and scissors to cut it out, I had these installed in less than 5 min each.I kid you not, yesterday my boat had water dripping inside it. Today it’s bone dry (I did leave the fan on and added a heater). Wish I had done this earlier and not taken so long to tackle the job as it’s much easier than you’d think.

Great replacement vent for tarp

I was pretty surprised at how easily these went on. Just used the bottom screw on piece as a guide to draw a circle where I wanted the vents... used a utility knife to cut out the hole (not perfect but it didn't need to be)... and then I screwed on the vents. Done. Piece of cake! Oh... have something available to cut on... a piece of wood or cutting board would be great. ( I didn't think of this so the case for my DeWalt drill now has some knife marks in it).

I have 2 vico vent 2's on a different boat and it was always dry. My new boat didn't have any but the traditional button snap style attachment was beginning to rip. I was having moisture/drying issues with the boat and would have to leave the cover off more than I wanted to dry the carpets. I bought 3 of these to replace my snap fittings while using the original poles. It took about 10 minutes to install with heavy duty scissors. I put the cover on for the first time when it was fairly windy and could feel the breeze blowing through the vents as I was putting the poles in place. My boat is now drying with the cover on and the mildew issues are gone. This was well worth the money.

The boat vents on the pontoon cover were 20 years old and were broken. These covers were exceptionally easy to install, no tools required. We love the design and the ventilation it provides. Will order these again if we ever have the need.

This was pretty cool! Really easy to install. No sewing involved. It's a bit heavy so it adds to the weight of your boat cover and if your poles are loose, they can slide down over time under the weight.

Fit in the hole in my cover replacing the Boat Vent 2 cuz the lock nut was lost. Didn't think I needed a new one until I did and it worked so well I just bought a second one for the other vent.

These are the top of the line marine vents and half what my marine supply store is asking...I suspect they buy on here too and just mark them up!
