Q: Do you have to use the Bloom filters? Will cone filters fit?

Former Starbucks addict here....I was burnt out and moved to illy, then a French press. Got tired of the mess. I’ve used my Espro Bloom for now for about two weeks and LOVE it! Easy to use and easy to clean. You could certainly use cone filters in a pinch...but the Bloom filters are a perfect fit allowing max coffee steeping/filtration.

Q: Anyone used this with generic basket filters? The espro paper filter are so overpriced vs $1-2 for 200 basket filters

I have not used generic filters, but I can say I haves used it just as much without any filter and gotten a very nice cup! The bloom’s built in drainage still provides a 2 min brew with minimal if any grind in your cup. Hope that helps.

Q: Do you use the same grind setting as V60? (Baratza Virtuoso)

I would suggest a slightly finer setting if you are using the paper filters.

3.25" high & 4" wide overall. While it is best pour over as I use Mr Coffee filters that when wet become the contours of the inner side, the size of mug matters as top of mug needs to be bigger than 2.25" where coffee flows through. This item will last.
