I was suprised but very sharp for mild steel drilling...

Like most metal drill bits, these work perfectly cutting at a slow speed with med-hard pressure. Great quality.

If hole size is critical in your application, such as pilot holes for threading, you're likely to break a lot of taps after drilling pilot holes with these. 9/32" and 7.0mm are NOT equivalent by .006".

these held up better than the $17 each bits work supplied for me they dull pretty quick but do not break and worked good for my needs

Not really what I expected!

Needed to drill 36 holes in 1/8" thick 304 & 316 SS. Wore out 6 drills (2 ea. standard high speed, titanium and black oxide coated bits) and only finished 8 holes in 2hrs. Internet article advised using any drill bit for 300 series SS without cobalt alloy was a waste of time and money. Decided to try these. WOW! What a difference...1st attempt cut through in less than 10 seconds. Completed the 28 remaining holes with the same drill in less than one hour and no burning. Used drill press WD-40 as lubricant.
