I question the authenticity. halston never splashed his name across the bottle because the bottle design announced whos it was. knock off alert?

Definitely a knock off. I made the mistake and purchased this. The Halston brand is not on the bottle. It's now used as bathroom deodorizer.

what perfume would you compare the scent to?

I CANNOT COMPARE IT TO ANY OTHER....IT SMELLS GREAT. Top notes are mint, melon, green leaves, peach and bergamot; middle notes are carnation, orris root, jasmine, marigold, ylang-ylang, cedar and rose; base notes are sandalwood, amber, patchouli, musk, oakmoss, vetiver and incense.. I smell citrus, cedar, rose, sandalwood, and hints of patchouli which comes from mint. It smells woodsy, but my husband says it smells fresh. My children say it smells like me. Any other perfumes I’ve tried have bothered me, and if I ask, I will get strong negative feedback. I have worn this scent for 45 years, and men always say something about it. Those who describe it as smelling awful may have found the NASTY ALCOHOL FREE version which has a horrible odor. Always look at a photo of the back of the bottle where it should list alcohol as the first ingredient. My uncle wears a patchouli based aftershave, and it smells fantastic on him, fresh and subtle. He and I had our dna tested and we share almost as many traits as siblings...the patchouli sandalwood combo with citrus must work well with our bodies because I always have people paying me compliments, as does he.
