Prime-Line A 148 Steel, Sliding Screen Door Latch Strike, Adjustable (2 Pack)

The one I needed to replace broke from the sliding glass door and screen door handles catching each other. The one I replaced had all the same measurements, but a tapered tip. After adjusting the placement, the handle still easily slid over, so I adjusted and tightened it at the slightest angle and it works perfectly. Sliding screen door now secures. 2 pack was ideal to order. I like to have a spare of certain things, just in case.

My dog kept opening the screen door and Lowe’s didn’t carry anything like this, Amazon to the rescue with over night shipping! Quality latch, great value considering you get two in a package. I did have to use a drill-bit for a new hole as the new latch is much bigger than the previous latch but it’s certainly a more durable latch than the previous one!

I like this item and works great however if you are not careful it will bend. I wish it was made with a sturdier metal. It does latch well but like I said you need to be careful not to bend it if it won’t catch the latch .

Better than the original that came w/sliding screen door. Tight close once installed. Dog can't bounce on and open once fastened.

We had a new patio door installed and low and behold it was missing this piece to lock the screen door. It was easy to install and works fine. However the price is outrageous. It probably costs them 25 cents to stamp these out then they charge you $10. I had to purchase these as I couldn't find any other ones not even at our local hardware store.

Exactly what was needed. Not exactly the same part (cast zinc) that broke, much more robust. Be careful to make sure that the dimensions of this part do conform to the part being replaced, otherwise your screen door latch may not engage properly.

This was exactly what I needed and worked perfectly for my door, was super easy to install and I haven't had an issue with it since I bought it. Can go either way. Upside down or right side up or whatever you want to call it. I love it cause now my kids can't get out of the sliding door.

My patio door would not close and took me forever to find this latch strike plate. It was way smaller (by an inch) than my existing broken one but I drilled new holes and works perfectly.

I can lock my screen door again. It’s hard to find a latch for screen door. Thanks amazon that you have this.
