Logitech G430 Surround Sound Gaming Headset with Dolby 7.1 Technology (Renewed)

I've been using these headsets ever since they were released back in 2013. So I can attest that they definitely perform as advertised. The construction may seem on the flimsy side, especially where the swivels are, but incredibly the original set lasted until last year when that part actually broke. The sound quality never diminished throughout this time. The bass is well accentuated and punchy, the mids are clear, especially when listening to dialogue-heavy content, and the highs are crisp -not shrill. The 7.1 simulated surround works very well through the included sound card and software. It definitely helps while playing first-person shooter video games. The mic is clear, although sometimes it picks up a bit of "popping" because it does not have a cloth or pop-blocker -especially when breathing right into it. This is alleviated by placing the mic in the proper place before playing. The headset is rather light and comfortable. I wear them often for more that 2 hours at a time and they remain comfortable. However, the ear must be placed properly inside the cup so that the material does not rub too much and cause irritation. This doesn't happen too often but it must be mentioned. As far as the cloth in the cups, I appreciate that they are removable and washable. I really like this headset, and I even have gifted several pairs as the price is very attractive. My only gripe, which is also a strength, is the long cord that gets tangled and "curly" all too easy. One must pay attention and "uncurl" it from time to time so that it does not fringe as it as a fabric coated cord. Other than that I most definitely recommend it. Hope this helps!

After having this same headset for almost 3 or 4 years, it has been heavily worn. It no longer has cushion really or holds its shape very well. It has some slight issues with voice and makes a bar-side soda dispenser noise sometimes.That being said the thing lasted great.I bought a brand new one recently and honestly it was my best decision. This is a decently cheap headset(only buy it on sale because it is frequently on sale) and lasts for a long time. It has great sound, great voice, with the usb adapter it has surroundsound too. I am very happy with this headset!! (I also own a 710+ and proteus core)

This headset is great for comfort and gaming. The sound is amazing and the mic quality is good as well. The ear pads are not changeable, and it feels a bit tight at first, but they are easy to break in after 2 days. Totally worth the money for a budget headset.

I came from a pair of decade old Razer Baracuda HP1's. They were built like a tank.Overall a great gaming headset. My only negatives are:1.) I prefer the suspended strap that goes over the top of your head rather than a heavily padded bar thingy like these have.2.) Fabric for ear cups is a tad on the scratchy side. Could be a softer fabric. Although, maybe this fabric is made to last longer. It feels about like new car cloth seats. Rather coarse on the face but only irritating while sliding them around adjusting them. Once they are on, you don't notice it.Plus side is they have fantastic sound, 7.1 positioning is eerily accurate, comfortable to wear for long periods of time.PS. To prevent side-tone (hearing your own voice)1.) Right click sound icon in the taskbar - click playback devices2.) Double click Logitech G430 speakers3.) Click levels tab, mute.Levels are handled by the Logitech software, not windows. Found this one in a forum somewhere.

This is my third set of these headphones. They fit my head well block out much of the surrounding noise. The microphone works really well - clear sound and no background noise. Unfortunately, my headphones live a hard life with my lifestyle and get broken. I keep a replacement pair on hand at all times. I love these - best headphones for the money I've ever tried.

Amazon refurbished doesn't mean barely works. I got this in the mail and it already had scratches in it. I plug it in and it sounds like you bought a $5 pair of earbuds from Walmart and put them through the washer. It only has stereo sound if you hold the cord right and it definitely doesn't have the 7.1 surround sound. I'm very disappointed.

These headphones have good sound quality and I like the audio feedback, however the microphone just falls down. It won't stay by my mouth so it is hard for people to hear me sometimes which is annoying.

I use this over a set of earbuds for competitive gaming, and for the price you get it, it's worth every set. Couldn't even tell it was refurbished. That being said, i don't use it for the speakers so I can't really judge the sound quality. What i can say is that you can have it on your head all day comfortably and the only way I have had one break is by dropping it too many times.
