COMPASS BEARING ABSOLUTELY FINE, but THERMOMETER not at all working, kept in freezer for 10 minutes, still it was 20 degrees same under 35degree under sun, HOPE REPLACEMENT works or find other options, smaller one works from this brand well, this one they messed up it seems & I GOT TO KNOW NO REPLACEMENT NO REFUND, WORST SELLER & PRODUCT, DON'T BUY THIS

The perfect hiking companion. I was looking for a small accurate thermometer to take outdoors and very few rated on Amazon as being accurate and well constructed. This one from Coghlan's is very well constructed for the price and perfectly accurate when compared to two other digital thermometers when placed side by side. It is accurate within less than 1/2 a degree. The compass was an unexpected quality bonus. The needle floats freely and always points to magnetic north. It has a movable bezel to record your angle traveled from north and a fully graduated 360 degree direction scale. It is not luminous but who cares. You would not travel at night without a flashlight anyway. The compass and thermometer are completely protected when the sturdy plastic case is closed. It comes with a hinged belt clip so you can still read it while it is attached to your belt. It also comes with a lanyard which passes through the hinge to keep it from getting lost. For the price, you can't go wrong and I would definitely recommend this thermometer/compass.

Numbers kind of small but over all a good compass.

Very lightweight and versatile. I like that the numbers are bigger than the conventional thermometers you find out there for camping.

The glued insert fell apart when I opened it. Not worth a return. Kinda sad.

Feeling cheap and a bit small.
