It’s very great and holds well

Works very well on my hair type. I have a lot of super fine hair. It's not crunchy or flaky, so I didn't think it would hold well, but this photo is of day two of my braids after sleeping on them with no protective cap and no touch ups. The pieces sticking out are just because my hair is layered. My hair is usually super frizzy, especially day two of braids, but they still look great with this product. I love that it doesn't have alcohol in it, nor any of the other bad stuff, and the scent is extremely mild, just smells clean and natural. I'm super sensitive to scents. To a normal person, they wouldn't be able to smell anything. And the price point is amazing. Highly recommend, for my hair type at least. I'm not sure how it would work on thick and/or coarse hair, but it works very well for me. Oh, and it's definitely conditioning without being greasy. PS I use protective braids because I'm on disability and it's helpful when I don't feel well enough to do my hair for a few days.

Would definitely recommend this product, it doesn't harden like eco gel for example. Oils your hair whilst also slicking it. Very good and the only gel we use now.

Based on my sister's recommendation, I decided to try it out, and for the first time in the past three months of experimenting with various edge controls, I discovered an ideal gel conditioner that doesn't result in flakes or breakage. I applied it to my braids and crochet after dampening my baby hairs, and the results were stunning. While it may not provide overnight hold, it delivers a great hold for most of the day. It's simple to apply and easy to remove without causing hair loss. I highly recommend it.

You can’t go wrong with anything Shine N’ Jam, it smells great, works great and does that job! I bought this when I saw my barber/braided use it.
