Prima Topcase (28L) Universal- Chicago Scooter Company

Inexpensive and does the job without making my Vespa look ugly. I thought about more expensive cases from GIVI, but this matched the look of my scooter better. I can only give it 3 stars though, mainly because It feels really flimsy and looks a bit cheap from the from the front of the scooter. If it came with a back rest it would look much better, although I'm not sure you would want anyone actually leaning against it. At least it's lightweight and detaches from the rack pretty easily. This brings me to the other thing I'm not crazy about. The mounting rails really should be rubberized and made from steel. The rails bend very easily when you tighten the bolts between the mounting pad and the rack. Also, I think the mounting bolts are too long for most racks, and protrude too far underneath, which makes it looks kind of hacked together. It's a very minor nit, but I will probably go to the hardware store and get some slightly shorter mounting bolts, some washers for the underside (it doesn't come with them), and maybe paint the rails black to make them harder to see. Finally, I DO NOT recommend using this box with ANY folding rack. I also bought a folding Prima rack for it thinking that it would be more versatile, but after just a few days the rack broke! Maybe this is because the springs on my particular rack were of poor quality, but as a best practice, you might just want to avoid using any folding rack.
