Magic art playset with Hermione Granger collectible figure

I got this for my granddaughter to go with the castle she got for Christmas she loved it quality is fairly good and this was at a very reasonable price

Great set for Harry Potter fans! Much bigger than I expected for the price too, put away for Christmas my son will love it :)

The set includes a stylised figure of Harry, a table, a potion's book and Bunsen burner with vial. There is also a cauldron which is fixed to the base. The cauldron lid pops up and the flames flicker when the figure is placed on a specific spot hidden under the floor boards. I think that is a nice little feature to have incorporated into the design and it makes it quite unique. I think the room is both nicely detailed and painted. The stone work of the wall and wood grain of the floor is molded in to the plastic. There's also a coat peg and shelf attached to the wall, and a book case molded into the background. I feel that the circular shape of the wall helps to give the whole scene more depth. I also think the whole piece has a nice sense of movement to it, even when stationary and I feel that helps to make it a nice display piece. The figure of Harry is nicely designed and made. It bends at the waist. The arms rotate at the shoulders and his head has some articulation to it too. He can also hold the potion's book in his left hand. However, I did find it a bit of a struggle to get the figure to stay standing up right unless it was on the magnetic spot on the base. Which means I also had to have the cauldron lid up too whether I wanted to or not. Apparently this is supposed to be based on a scene from the Half Blood Prince, however I wouldn't be able to tell that just from looking at it. It says on the book in the tiniest writing 'Advanced Potion Making' This scenario could literally be taken from any of the books or films. Not that it really matters. Overall I think this is a really nicely designed and made piece with excellent detail.

This is great for the price I paid was on deal but I’d say more the 5 pounds it would not be worth it you don’t get much and the book has nothing on it so looks like a part of the packing . 5 year old likes it but careful of the book if younger as it’s a swallow risk
