PERFECT GAME (2009)

This reminded me of when I was a child growing up playing baseball, football, wrestling and basketball in a blue collar community in Martinez, California. Sports brought our community together and when our high school football team went 26-0 and were California Virtual State Champions in 1990 to 1992 it gave our school and our Martinez Hometown a sense of pride that no amount of money or position could ever do. We were champions like these young men in this movie. Truly inspirational and thank you for this story and making it a beautiful movie.

Critics wanted more fictionalized scenes of fake events to add drama. This movie was more true to life by not compromising the story to make critics happy. The kids were like kids in the 50's. No need to add a lot of bodily function sound effects to entertain. Thank goodness.

Why have I never heard of this movie? It was an amazing story that needed to be told! It’s heart melting good! We loved it!

Exposed racism in the sport and society, but showed how determined people could live a good, productive life and set a good example for the younger generation. Truly superior movie.

Nice movie

I'm serious. There is nothing not to like. The movie doesn't shy away from the poverty these kids lived in and the challenges they faced. This honesty in the script makes the movie that much more authentic and inspiring.

Great movie for the family.

Now this is a very good story "The Perfect Game" about kid's getting to play Baseball, so i give it 10 Gold Stars, & ( i am trying to get other DVD like this one ! )

ONE EXCELLENT MOVIE! This incredible win of the U.S. Little League World Series, by the mainly poor children of Monterrey, a steel town in Mexico, was no fluke. The much smaller boys than the American opposition did it two years in a row! 1957 & 1958. An event well worth this honouring in film, to join the original film version the team made during their wins.

very interesting movie about baseball, the right target are the young baseball's fans, but in general the story is around the loser people e their redeem.then the classical relatioship with father and son, tipical in the baseball movie.

This is my new all time favorite movie. I am a sucker for true stories and this one is the best. I love the theme that you can do anything you put your mind to. I love the sweet innocence and faith that these little boys had that allowed them to succeed. The acting is fabulous, the cinematography is beautiful, and the script is perfect. There is drama, romance and humor and best of all absolutely any age will enjoy it, because it is totally clean and totally entertaining. I can not say enough good about this movie. As for the seller, the DVD came fast and in great condition.

a story of the passion of baseball & how a village & then the entire USA gets behind a forgien team. I dare the prez to watch it Buy this you will not be disappointed.
