A handy way to use your larger filters on a smaller lens.
The threads are accurate and have enough clearance to thread onto a camera lens easily as well as the filter you are going to use will thread on easily as well. If a filter gets threaded on a bit too tightly, you can use a pair of filter wrenches such as these:https://www.amazon.com/Neewer-Rubber-coated-Remover-Fujifilm-Panasonic/dp/B018I84358/ref=sr_1_9The adapter I purchased is the 37mm lens/camera to 52mm filter step up ring.Additionally, a step ring like this is important to have if you have this camera (or similar with a 37 mm filter thread.) , https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07YBCMXJJ this will work for this. If you plan on using a "Fisheye Adapter" with this camera, you must put support under the Fisheye adapter or you risk either stripping the threads on the camera, or even breaking them. For the second image I used my "Lensbaby Spark" as it has a 37mm filter thread.

It works
Use it for my 12-32mm, simple metal construction that works.

Sturdy, Solid, Reliable!
Finally a step up ring that isn't made of cheap flimsy plastic or cheap bendy metal. This thing is a solid - the threads are perfectly smooth, it spins right on to my lens and my filters thread onto it without any issues at all!

Does what its supposed to do
Qualify product, good fit and finish... It is a simple item and so it does what its supposed to do very well. Why spend more for such a simple item!

Gets stuck.
Works as expected though it very easily gets stuck to the lens or the filter if you aren't careful about how tight you put it on. This is not an issue I have with more expensive steup up rings. The threads are not very smooth and it squeaks a lot as you thread it on. Works fine if you don't tighten it too much but that also means you have to constantly check it to make sure it's not getting loose.

Never been disappointed by Fotodiox yet
I hear horror stories of people cross-threading things, filter threads stripping out, filters binding up on step-up rings, etc. None of that happened with these $6 rings. I have standardized my filter collection around the 58mm diameter. I use a Fotodiox 52-58mm ring to attach filters to my Canon nifty fifty, and 49-58mm ring to use on the adapted Olympus Zuiko lenses I use. Both work flawlessly. Incidentally, I have inexpensive Fotodiox OM to EF adapters on all three of my Olympus lenses, and they also work perfectly.I assume it wouldn't be that hard to deform these by squeezing them, dropping them, or over-torquing filters onto them. This kind of deformation probably explains 99% of the bad reviews on these step-up rings. But I'm not in the habit of abusing any of my equipment, and that's not a real concern for me. They work. They're inexpensive. Those two things together are what Fotodiox consistently provides for me.

Quality manufacturing!
I've used fotodiox step up rings with my Nikon lenses, saving me big bucks on filters. Fotodiox products are well made and reasonably priced.

Fotodiox is A+ quality, this item is excellent.
Fotodiox is easily a brand name that I,( a 20 yr veteran ), will turn to, understanding that every company (almost), has inexpensive, and HD accessories . Know the difference, I hate, reviews of $10,$20, etc items that would otherwise be $80+~$200 in a Brand brand name, that bash it's 'build quality's, THEN END WITH, You get what you pay for. You DO , rate it accordingly , but like in this case understand what you are reviewing. Threading 'Step up / down', rings is a precise machine process. Add coating and I've literally bought ones that don't fit, either to small or too big, either way I have no time to play. I can't grab my filters and be on a shoot NOT being able to size them or have the threads stick upon removal. Even though i try and condition every screw in part I ever use, there is always days when I'm grabbing the overnight from my delivery guy, and flying off to a shoot. Fotodiox is 1, of maybe 4 companies total, that I can do that with, & never get jammed up.

For Panasonic Leica 50-200mm
I hired the PL100-400mm for an airshow, though needed an ND filter to fit it. Since I intend to eventually buy the lens, I bought the filter, but didn't want it to go to waste. So I picked up this step-up ring so that I could still utilise it with the shooter PL50-200mm.It is well manufactured, and fits the filter thread of the 50-200 very well. One thing to note is that you cannot fit the lens hood when using this, as it is wider than the hood. Something to bear in mind.

Very short threaded section
I needed this for my Fujinon 27mm f/2.8 which takes a 39mm filter. However the (male) threaded portion is so short that it only begins to engage with the thread on the lens and I cannot attach the step up ring securely. On this lens, this ring is useless.

Does the job
I bought this so that I could use my 77mm 10-stop filters on my sony nex when I don't feel like carrying around a nikon d700 with a 24-70 lens. I have a 52-77mm step down (or is it step-up?) adapter which my filters go on, and then I attach those to this 49-55mm adaptor and screw that on to my NEX.It's fairly high quality as far as I can tell. Screws in nice and tight and I wouldn't be worried about breaking the threads or anything like that. I just leave it permanently attached to the lense now and use a 55mm lense cap instead of the normal one.

Stupidly I left it a couple of months before testing ...
Stupidly I left it a couple of months before testing the Fotodiox step up ring. It attaches ok at the back but the filter I was using would only slightly screw onto the front, despite this the filter is now stuck and won't come off. So I can't give this item a positive review.

Old Ned
Having purchased a Panasonic Lumix FZ100 Camera I found I needed a wider angle Lens for Survey work, the ones advertised for the 52mm thread of the Camera produced a high Vinyetteng at the corners,so by using a 58mm W/A & the 52-58mm step ring this was almost eliminated. Delivery was as always with Amazon brilliant & at a price no one else could match.Well done again Amazon.
