Highly recommend Helena’s new book
Having read Helena’s first book, I knew anything else she wrote would be great. I had been looking for a book on dressing professionally for work and hey presto, S&S is published!! Full of candid stories, personal experience and advice that clearly works, this book is a fantastic resource for any woman looking to progress professionally and/or gain confidenceHelena has long been an inspiration to me and her books are written in the style that feels like she’s sat next to you, chatting away. This is a mentoring book that covers many things no other book is prepared to talk about. THANK YOU Helena for more of your excellent wisdom.

Thought provoking yet easy read which ultimately encouraged me to be more me in the workplace.
This gave me the clarity that what i wear is important both for my own confidence but also because as humans (like it or not) we do judge one another on how we look in a millisecond (see the book 'Blink' by Malcolm Gladwell). As someone who would rather work away quietly in the background and who found it difficult to spend money on myself this gave me the mandate to take control of my wardrobe and use it to my advantage. The book itself is about far more than clothes- that's just one tool at our disposal. Ultimately, having read the book I was left feeling encouraged and confident to grow in my own self expression through what i put on every morning.

Inspiring and thought provoking
I do not normally read anything like this. But I thought it was honest, insightful and has helped me think through how I wish to project myself at work.Overall, I would say it is more substance, than style. It’s about thinking through choices, having agency and being yourself. It is not supposed to be ‘feminist’ I think, it’s more than any ‘ism’. The workplace is not equal right now. This is simply wise advice about how to think through choices re personal presentation. It is beautifully written and unique.
