Complete BioPellet Reactor package for aquariums up to 150 Gallons. Includes BioPellet Reactor, water pump, 400mL of Macro NP BioPellets and plumbing. Can be used externally, hang-on or internally. BioPellets are a great way to reduce nitrates and phosphates in your saltwater fish or reef aquarium. A protein skimmer is required with BioPellet reactors. For maximum effectiveness, direct the outlet of the biopellet reactor toward the inlet of your protein skimmer. Macro NP Reducing BioPellets are made in the Netherlands. The new formula is composed of 100% pure biologically safe polymers that can be placed in Macro Aqua's BioPellet Reactor. The biopellets will allow aerobic growth of bacteria which consequently will consume nitrate and phosphate simultaneously. A biofilm, containing nitrates and phosphates, will shed off the biopellets as they tumble. This biomass is then removed by your protein skimmer.
