It's a Beast, and the last one I ever hope to buy
My old $150 Harbor Freight vise cracked in half (they do that when you use a cheater bar), so I needed to replace it, and was willing to bust the budget to get one that would last long enough to be part of my estate (ha-ha). I'd read great things about the Wilton brand; it appears they've been making beefy vises for a long, long time. I opted for this multi-purpose style, as it has a rotating jaw assembly, with both flat and pipe/round-stock jaws. My last vise used a similar layout, an it is incredibly versatile. This Wilton was the largest one in that style, and it is an absolute beast @ 53 lbs. Only had it a short while, but it appears to be absolutely fine. I want to replace the swivel hold-down hardware with some socket-head bolts, then use a long T-handle Allen wrench for faster/easier repositioning.

Very well built
Has exceeded my expectations only wish I didn’t go bigger but I have a feeling I will be buying another one

Well made vise
Machining standards are very good. Mounting pattern and accomadating instructions are excellent.

Great value for a outstanding vice
I bought this as a return item from Amazon. There was absolutely nothing wrong with it and I saved $95. Anyone that knows vices knows that Wilton is top quality. This should last a lifetime or two.

Very flexible vice from a quality brand (a bit overpriced)
Allen Derusha's 4-star review says everything you need to know about this vice. It's very versatile but is going to have it's limits on strength and durability if you use it outside its performance limits. I would call it a light to medium duty vice for shop use to hold stuff in various positions. I would not; however, beat on it or put a pipe on the handle to tighten things down. It's just not that type of vice. My two are:1. the hardware is cheap for 400 dollars (or maybe I'm not adjusting for inflation in May 2024 correctly). All of the handles are cheap feeling including the primary handle. Minor gripes, this is still an offshore-produced unit and built to a cost.2. the finish is going to chip off easily with any use (mine already is and I've used it only a couple of times)

Great Vice
Great Vice. Heavy duty has been a vital tool addition.

Desent constrution.
Desent quality well made for a Made In China 6" bench vise with the Wilton American brand but over priced compared to the same vises with generic brands. It's more expensive just for the brand Wilton name but not the same as USA made Wilton vises.A same original Wilton vise will cost more than double the price as this vise. Many old name Made In USA products are gradually transitioning to Made In China for cost savings but still expensive for the brand name and not the same.

A quality vise
after years of being cheap and buying numerious inexpensive vises, that always broke or did not hold things very well. This is something I would have bought years ago, the teeth are very hard and sharp, the jaws don't slide when you clamp something, the mechanism operates and glides much better, just a higher quality!
