This device first of all doesn't work very well, every time I restart my PC - it fails to recognize the drivers for the bluetooth device and I have to uninstall the driver and reinstall it from the device manager. It constantly errors out.Even though Windows automatically installs the drivers for it, half of the time it doesn't work so I took a look at the Official drivers linkI look at the driver download link...its a DROPBOX address link. So that's shady.I took a look at their service email...it's an @Gmail - which anyone can make - also feels shady because usually official companies have their own @microsoft, @apple emails.I don't trust this device. I suggest you buy something from a notable company with a better track record.

No matter what I tried, I could not get this thing to work. It kept saying I have other bluetooth devices or drivers installed already and I surely do not. I tried disable/uninstalling all kinds of stuff to make this install but it would keep failing and say cannot install because something else was already installed.

Technology like this should be easy now and this particular Bluetooth dongle was not easy for me. It comes with an optical driver disk that is useless because I don’t use an optical drive anymore. The link to the drivers online is such a complicated and cryptic address that you need an assistant to read it back to you for confirmation and still it connected to nothing. So I can’t use the device, and it’s not worth my time to send it back, good for them I guess. Short answer, don’t buy this one. There are easier devices with better solutions available. I just pick this one at random and it was “a bad call Ripley, a baaaaad call.”

The bluetooth "engine" in my laptop died. It would cost so much to open the laptop and replace it and I'd risk damage to other components. So I decided to give this little item a try. It may be little but it works like a horse. I plugged it into the usb drive on my laptop and within seconds I was able to use my bluetooth headphones again.I want to see if I can use it on airplanes on an upcoming overnight flight and plug it into the usb port so I can hear the audio on my headphones. I'm not sure that will work as the usb port may not be connected to the video/audio of the plane.

Simple. Windows 10 automatically took care of the driver.It comes with a tiny CD containing drivers for those who might need it. Likely it would work even better if I took the time to install the driver from the CD. For my audio earpiece it works fine with the standard Windows 10 default driver.

Well, am I the only person to know that not all laptops are blue tooth capable?? Well I didn't and I really needed to use this as my cricut stopped working using the cord. So I ordered this and now it works great. Super easy to set up and use. Turned on the button that I needed to be able to use my blue tooth capability on my laptop. Would recommend this for sure if you need this function on your laptop to work.

I bought it because my old computer that has windows 7 doesn't have bluetooth but I couldn't get to work with windows 7 I followed all the instructions. But I tried it with my windows 10 desktop PC and it works great this USB bluetooth device sounds amazing when I use it with my bluetooth speakers no issues works great

I bought this device to replace an earlier BT dongle that didn't connect very well with my Airpods Pro. Installation was OK - follow the instructions and install the Realtek drivers (either from the mini CD or download link). A restart is required, then plug in the device and it should find the proper drivers, but I checked in Device Manager to be sure. Then the big test - could it find my AirPods Pro? Surprisingly, unlike the previous BT dongle, this found them right away without even having to press the button on the back of the case - just like Apple devices, but without the graphic. Once found and connected it all worked perfectly, for a while.It lost connection when I moved to another room - no surprise there, but that is where the problems started. It wouldn't reconnect when I returned to the PC. All the speaker selection options disappeared, and there was no audio at all coming from the PC. Even opening the BT Settings and trying manually to reconnect the Airpods Pro didn't work. Neither would "Remove Device" for the Airpods Pro.I searched the web for advice, which suggested switching BT off and back on after a few minutes but that didn't work: I still had Airpods Pro listed as a paired device, but it would neither connect nor remove the device to allow it to be found again. The only solution was to go into Device Manager, Uninstall the Realtek BT 5 Adapter, disconnect the dongle, restart the PC and then re-install the BT dongle all over again.So, the device works very well but don't risk losing the connection to a BT device in use because its a nightmare to fix and reconnect! Copy the drivers from the CD (or download them) to your PC as you are going to need to run them every time you lose connection!

So first impression when I just popped it into my machine (and Win 10 installed generic drivers) was that it didn't work with my Xbox Game Controller... But then I looked into the packaging and found the small drivers CD. This had the proper Realtek drivers on it and after installing these it worked perfect and found my game controller in seconds!!!

Although this works in version 2.0 sockets my system (Win 10 based) seemed to prefer it in socket 3.0. This dongle version is 5.0.Comes with a mini disc with drivers on or you can download from web. Mine worked with pre-installed Win 10 drivers too.Initially it was crashing the system, especially when using alongside games purchased from Steam. But also when listening to music on You Tube. After some tweaks and driver re-installs it worked fine and has done so without further issues since.The system crashes may have been due to PC set up and just coincidence that it started when I first plugged it in. You Tube guides were somewhat useful in my attempt to resolve the problem.It does work over a greater distance than version 2.0s but this will still be decreased by obstacles (walls) in the signal path. Quality of sound transmission to headphones is much improved in comparison to my adaptor versions 2.0 & 3.0 which should be a given since this is a level 5.0 adaptor.I'm pleased with it. I use it with head phones for up to 8hrs a day so will recommend. However shop around for best price as some of the other, similar spec'd adaptors are way more expensive.

Si comme moi, vous voulez utiliser ce dongle pour installer vos manettes XBOX one, PS4, DualSense ou Switch Pro sur Windows 10, il est impératif d'installer les drivers RTL8761B fournis ou de les télécharger sur un site tiers car sans eux, les manettes ne seront pas reconnues. Par contre, les autres périphériques bluetooth seront reconnus sans problèmes.

I know that it is often the case that it is user error in this situation. However, it is clear this is a Chinese rip-off of the Realtek 5.0 Bluetooth dongle. I downloaded the drivers from the dropbox as instructed, but I received a Code 43 error that could not be rectified. Windows 10 did not like the drivers recommended. Nor did Windows pop up with the auto install function I am used to with new hardware. All in all, a real shame as I had hoped to use it to connect my soundbar to the computer, but not possible.
